Yes. My due date was changed about 3 times in the first 5 months. It changed between August 1 & August 12. Blah. It was honestly so frustrating and totally didn't make a difference in the end anyway since he came July 10.

I hope you can figure something out. Who knows, maybe you'll go into labour a week early!

Mine did change it after a lot of discussion, because I have long cycles but I was tracking my cycle so I knew my ovulation date. Based on my cycle they wanted to assign 2 weeks too early, then based on the first dating ultrasound it was a week too late. The next two ultrasounds both tracked within a day or two of when I said the due date should be based on ovulation. So we brought up our annoyance with the incorrect due date to the OB and had it modified.

With that said, I now have a midwife who says the first dating scan is the most reliable because afterwards you start getting genetic factors of tall/short and it can skew the assigned dating. I think that's why doctors are reluctant to modify based on later scans.

If you truly believe your due date is off, it doesn't hurt to discuss with your doctor.

I think it changed by one day with one of my kids but I don't remember when it happened or why it happened. I want to say it was early on. DS1 always measured ahead and that didn't cause the due date to change. He was just really big.

I have two due dates in my record but it's been that way since my dating scan. My OB says 6/15 based on LMP but my blood work and radiology paperwork all say 6/10 (dating scan). I wish they would just pick one.

I've never had the date changed ever and they used my LMP last time which I think was wrong. I've read that the scan between 8-11 weeks is the most accurate with a margin of error of 5 days, after that the margin of error is 10 days because babies move so much and can grow at different rates. I don't think the new measurements are as accurate but you may be able to get your date pushed just by asking. Could be less favorable for induction though and mean more complications so I'm not sure if I would let a couple of days sway you. Best of luck.

@PrincessBaby: that makes sense. Edit because I see you said the date makes a diff. Perhaps they can change it based on new findings. I would definitely see what they can do or are willing to do.

My OB always used my O date.
Could you just fudge yours?

FWIW I always measured ahead but both girls arrived on time....we'll both ended up getting forced out, who knows how long they would have stayed in there on their own.

@PrincessBaby: I had a similar issue last time, my EDD was on a Saturday and baby was breech so I had to have a scheduled c-section. Since 20 weeks I had been measuring 2-3 weeks ahead (and had multiple ultrasounds) and based off my LMP my due date would have been 5 days earlier than the dating scan. I had hoped they could schedule the c-section for the Friday (38+6), but my OB would not change it.
