I know kids lose things out and about, but has your LO ever lost/hidden something at home?
LO lost her shoes somewhere around our house and I KNOW they are here, but it's driving me crazy!

Binkies. So many of them. I know they're here somewhere, but where?!

Blake is always losing his matchbox cars (I assume under the couches or other furniture?) then asking for a very specific car or truck right before nap or bedtime, so I have to hunt all over for something that will do. It's a very sophisticated stalling maneuver! DH usually sweeps under all the furniture every few days and out come a ton of cars and trucks.

@twodoghouse: oh man so many cars under our couch!
In our old house when we had vents he put stuff down there all the time. TV remote, phone, etc!

His playmobil people. He loves to give them rides in various carts and trucks, and he likes putting them inside shoes. Right before we moved he his them and I couldn't find them for weeks. The day of the move we discovered them in the box we had to pack the TV in. He'd pushed them in through one of the handle holes. I felt totally crazy about the whole thing.

Oh all the time, and we live in a small apartment! We once lost a pair of lo's shoes and it took like 2 weeks to find them.

B once lost a very large, pink, plastic alarm clock (it was at least eight inches long). We live in a very small apartment. It still took me six months to find it. I wish I could remember where it turned up!

We lost DD's loveys for about 6 months. After looking so many places one day she found them in her backpack in her closet. She was so stoked.
One of my kids put my phone in their small electronic play cube. It's only about 7"x7" and hallow so I never considered it to be a container. I never would have looked there. Somehow DH found it.

A library book. It must have gotten thrown out because it has yet to resurface at least a year later.
ETA and puzzle pieces. I swear we have a puzzle piece thief that visits us!

Too many things to count...the fact that this is even a question makes me think I'm doing it wrong

DD lost ALL of her magic clip princesses because she hid them. We found them a month later, she'd squished them into play-doh containers! (There were like 15 of them!!)

Lo hides stuff and will go back weeks later and pull toys out of the oddest places. once he was playing with my wallet and he lost one of my credit card, I finally found it stuffed down the AC vent. He had been trying to show me for days but I didn't understand.

We've been missing the remote for our blue ray and direct TV for months now! And I've been saving one shoe that I'm sure is somewhere but we haven't been able to find it yet.

My four year old lost her blankie this week. I remember seeing her in our kitchen in the evening but by the time bedtime routine was done they were gone. Still haven't found them so we had to move on to one new extra blankie we had along with her car blankie. I am baffled and I hope we magically find them soon!

@SweetCaroline: oooo we found a lot of those when we moved!

I never found them so I'm guessing my daughter once threw away a brand new pair of Keens.
