Charlie used to say "Mommy" but lately he has been saying "Mama" or even "Mom." He sometimes even calls me Dada instead of Daddy. No "Dad" yet though.
Has your LO transitioned from calling you one name to calling you another?

I'm going to be interested to watch this with our son. Obviously, at 4 mos, he's not calling me anything yet. I always refer to myself at "mommy", but I'm sure he'll eventually get programmed to call me "mummy" since that's the cultural norm here.

Lo calls DH appa and appaji
She calls me umma usually, but calls me ummaji every once in a while because dh calls me that once in a while too.

Lala calls me mama (which is what I like), but she keeps trying out mommy or mom (because so many other people refer to "your mom" or "your mommy"). I keep correcting her because I like mama best

LO has always called me mama, and I hope it stays that way. He did switch from calling my husband dada to daddy. I think my husband prefers the latter. Every time I someone refers to me as mommy in front of my LO, I always subtly correct them so that she continues calling me mama.

DD switches between mommy and mama mostly. DH is always daddy. She went through a mom and dad phase but that seems to have passed. I am glad because mom and dad aren't as cute!
