We bought a bag of organic fruit from Costco and it has been recalled for Hepatitis A contamination! We never opened it, thank goodness! I threw it away and called Costco for a refund. Totally freaked me out because I thought we had fed those to my son!

@banana: There's a huge potential recall with the position of the gas tank on a ton of Jeep Liberty's (5 years worth) and Grand Cherokee's (11 years worth) (bad rear end accidents = fire = death). They were asked to voluntarily recall the affected years but Jeep refused. They were given until June 18 to respond whether they'll issue a voluntary recall or not. =/

Nothing that I can think of, but I'm super bad about registering my stuff. I wish they would recall my laptop, the thing is a lemon! Though I know Apple with never do it lol.

I just scanned through the recalls list and found out our washing machine was recalled. Thanks for the reminder to look into it! The fruit thing is scary, worst case scenario for us is we would have been without a machine for a few days :).

@banana: oh my gosh! I bought those too and freaked when I heard about it. I think we bought the berries without cherries and pomegranate though which wasn't recalled but I threw them out to be safe.

Well I didn't know this or recently purchase this but just was made aware that all drop side cribs were recalled! My mom gave me one that's many years old, has been used in my family and now for my first baby.

@petunia354: If you google "Jeep recall" there are TONS of articles out there. Hopefully we know more this week!
@wheres_c: Same here. It looks like there's a pretty good procedure in place for recalls though - manufacturer is asked to do so voluntarily at first (here, Chrysler/Jeep refused), there's some sort of appeal process now, I think?. And an involuntary recall can also be issued. They've since changed the design of the vehicles and gas tanks to address this issue so I don't know how they can deny it being a problem!
