that's a tough decision--congrats on thinking/talking it out and coming to a conclusion that you're satisfied with!

i am proud...for going ahead and eating the dove ice cream bar last night. life is short. also, we're moving in a few weeks so i need to clean out the freezer, right? i am so responsible.

I climbed the stairs to my office this morning (on the 6th floor!) instead of taking the elevator.

I'm proud of myself taking some initiative in my career lately. I'm actively pursuing some new things to diversify my toolbox.

I started seeing a therapist. She is within walking distance from my house and today is my 3rd session and I really really like her. With this being my first child and some really difficult family stuff going on (MIL and step dad getting divorced, she will be moving in with us, M estranged from his Dad) I feel that I need a neutral third party to give me a little hand holding and guidance. I am so happy with my decision and I feel like I will be getting some tools to help me be a better parent with less baggage and strengthened relationships.

DH and I have really been concentrating on finances and getting to a spot where we feel comfortable, we have been so good these last few months, I feel like our sacrifices are noticeable. Especially with another child on the way, it's important to be comfortable financially.

@loveisstrange: This is something I am really working on too. Hard but I am getting there.

I am really glad that we moved R's day care. Having her in a center closer to the house has been HUGE in helping me on my solo days, she is doing much better, and I love that DH takes her on Friday's and they get more play time in the AM after not seeing each other for 4 days.

The extra expense sucks, and it might be way we have one or have to wait till she older to have another, but in the mean time it is really it the best thing for her.

I went to Zumba last night, even though I just wanted to pass out.

DH and I had a talk about managing nightime with LO. He's found our weakness when both of us are home. We're working towards a plan where there's no good cop/bad cop going on.

#1 would be deciding to become a doula and working hard on growing my doula/photography business.
#2 would be pursuing counseling with DH even though our marriage wasn't and isn't broken...it's helped soooo much with communication and understanding each other better.

That it really is okay to put myself first . . . it's okay to carve out time to go get a pedi, it's okay to choose a workout over laundry/chores, that it's okay to say *eff it* at the end of the day and just veg out with a cocktail in front of the tube.

This is small but this morning, I really wanted a bagel and since I'm trying to lose weight, stuck with the oatmeal I brought. I can have my bagel this weekend instead of twice this week

I decided to completely FF our LO about a month ago. I never established much of a supply due to all the stress surrounding delivery and our extended NICU stay. I EP'ed for two months but despite trying everything I just could not produce much milk. I wanted to BF my child more than anything. It was my #1 goal for his first year. But it just wasn't working for us at all. LO has some feeding issues so feedings take a little while. And pumping on top of that to only get a few ounces per day just made me so stressed. I still get sad about the fact that I wasn't able to provide milk for my LO, but I know that it was the right choice at the right time for our family.

@MamaMoose: @lawbee11: We're still on the fence about a second (leaning toward no) . . . but I have decided that it's not selfish to choose myself and my marriage over a sibling for my LO. That what works for us is the right decision. And even if we could make it work (which we can), it doesn't mean that we have to. Period.

@MsLipGloss: Word. I am still working through all my feelings as they relate to a potential second LO, and the kindest decision for myself, my sanity, and my marriage is to quit while we're ahead. We may adopt someday, but my brain cannot wrap itself around another pregnancy/birth.

@lawbee11: It does on so many levels! Not only is our relationship in a good spot, my career is slowly getting back on track, and I am starting to feel more sane more days than not. I also am pretty close to my goal weight, and not everything is hard all the time. I just don't know that I have it in me to go back . . . I also don't want to take anything away from LO. I don't know that I am okay with asking her to *share* the time that we do have together with a sibling.

Mine is keeping my relationship with my husband a priority over the last 12 weeks since we had LO. We've had a lot of struggles and so many times it would've just been easier to just not address the problem because we were too tired (physically and emotionally), but I didn't want to let things slip with us just because we were exhausted. Making sure things with us are good is the only way anything else can be good so I've made an effort.
