I am on day 3 of losing weight and I haven't cheated or anything yet. I am usually ready to throw in the towel at this point, but its going well.

I decided to continue with my doctoral program after freaking out and seriously considering dropping out. Still have a long ways to go until it's done but I am now fully committed again, which feels good, even though it's the 'harder' of the two options.

@swedishfish: uuummm.. How about being really brave and taking the steps to get all the information you can about the health of your baby while being faced with a really scary and overwhelming situation. You are a rock star!

Make my weight loss a priority. I have dropped 13 lbs so far this summer.

Put my phone away when I am home with my husband to spend quality time with him.

The best benefit of both decisions have been surprise date nights.

@lipgloss speaking of vodka, I have discovered Pearl Vodka's wedding cake vodka. Add pineapple juice and grenadine. Mind. Blown.

@Trailmix: That is fantastic! Seriously. I have dropped out of 3 different course programs. All 3 completely unrelated. I'm sure the only reason I finished high school was because it was not an option to fail in my parents eyes. I wish I had the motivation/drive/smarts/whatever to actually figure out what I want to do and DO IT. My education has been a complete failure, so, living vicariously through you, I am proud of you for sticking with it!

I'm joining Moms groups and introducing myself at least once a day in our new town. It's the last thing I feel like doing these days when I'm nauseous and exhausted but I know it's important for LO to play with other kids and we need to make friends before winter sets in!!

Getting my azz to the gym on the regular.

Enjoying every moment with DD instead of stressing over TTC #2.

Getting my butt in gear to apply for new jobs.

I'm proud that through all of the garbage I'm going through at work with the worst boss ever that I decided to try and ride it out through this project. He won't be around forever (because if he is I will for sure quit).

And proud that I'm sticking with MyFitnessPal and really trying hard to lose some of this weight.

I've been able to control my portions very well over the past few weeks, AND I did NOT open a bottle of wine this week. Instead, I got some sprite zero and will make vodka cocktails (less calories)... heehee

    @Trailmix: you go, girl!

Mine is similar: we decided to seriously consider pushing back TTC sl that I can fully commit myself to my doctoral.program for the next 18 months or so. That is not enough time to finish, but it is enough to.finish my exams and get some serious research done. It is scary, but I'm feeling much better about it!

I also recommitted to BFing , despite LO's MSPI. I also took some initiative to seek out treatment for what I (correctly) guessed was reflux. It is helping her, and I am so glad.

    Proud of everyone!

We decided to stop TTC a biological child. It was a hard choice, but I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

This is not a recent decision, but I am really proud of DH & I for making a plan and executing on it over the last year.

When I got pregnant somewhat unexpectedly (yes, I know how babies are made, and I know we are so lucky, but we were still caught off guard) we decided to move in with my parents so I could quit a job that made me very unhappy and we could still continue to pay off debt & save for a home.

I know a lot of people raised their eyebrows at our choice, and I admit I felt self-conscious. But it's been an amazing experience. LO is so close to her grandparents & I have been able to stay home with her for the most part, which was always my dream.

Almost exactly a year later, we have bought a home and are MOVING OUT! Just like we planned. Go us

Putting DD back in daycare today instead of next week. She's been with us all summer and starting her today was perfect since most of the kids are still at home and she can take her time readjusting. The only kids there were all close in age, so that made it especially perfect.

The best part - she napped! Woohoo!!! It's seriously one of my better decisions. I've been proud of myself all day. Haha!

Not super recent, but DH and I both went back to school this year. It's hard now and is going to eat up a lot of our savings but it's going to be so good for us in the long run.

I'm really proud of myself for not pulling my LO out of daycare immediately or quitting my job on the spot after a recent scare (?) at daycare. I'm glad that I used the logical/rational side of my brain, and not the emotional/impulsive side- and took the time to investigate the situation. I feel mounds of relief after investigating a bit, and am glad I didn't pull her from the provider she adores.

It's so motivating to hear everyone's small or big changes and decisions! I think for me it has been getting more help in the form of childcare and housecleaning so that I have time to develop my business without worrying about devoting every second to my kids or fretting about the cleanliness of the apartment. We could do without these things but my stress level would be through the roof.
