Ours is BY FAR a new computer. We had a six year old dinosaur that was no longer working with both of us in school. So we saved up for a new Macbook Air for me and an iPad for DH. Best purchases we have made in years!! Expensive, but so worth it

I just bought some maternity pants at Target which feels like quite the luxurious upgrade from my existing pants that can barely button, haha.

I hate to admit it, but we upgraded all the light switches in our house to ones that are remote controllable. So if we forget a light on in the house, we can just turn it off via our cell phones.
That, and the keyless entry keypads on all of our exterior doors. I will never be locked out again!

A new roof! Though, our insurance paid for most of it, but definitely the best upgrade thus far.

We changed all the hollow core brown doors in the house to six paneled white doors. Looks so much better!

As for us, last week we finally made the switch to a Nespresso machine. I kinda miss having a big ol' pot of coffee in the kitchen on the weekend, but our old machine was so huge. It had a cappuccino maker side that we never used, and it leaked all over all the time! So I picked up the Nespresso last week while out shopping and I must say, I like it! The only thing I don't like is that the biggest size coffee you can make still doens't fill a whole American mug size. 
Oh well.

@looch: Sounds amazing!
@TheSwissWifeStyle: You know, you can reprogram the buttons on your Nespresso machine to give you the pour size you want and it is really easy. Let me know if you want instructions! The only downside is that the coffee content in the capsules is designed for a specific amount of water, so if you were to make an American sized cup, you will be drinking weaker/diluted coffee (I'm a nerd, my first real job was working for Nespresso.).

We just replaced our old, broken heating/AC unit. The new one is so quiet and works so well! We also got a new fridge and freezer replacing the relics that came with the house. I can open the fridge and not have to wait 5 minutes before being able to open it again! Yay!

We bought a new car last weekend! We upgraded from a 2002 Mitsubishi SUV to a 2012 Toyota Camry and we love it!!

@Boopers: I was looking at the Toyota ad last wk & saw the camry was listed with 1 more mpg than the corolla- how does that work??! It's so much bigger & would assume it has a larger engine. I was surprised!
I have one that might not seem exciting, but it is to me! I upgraded my toothbrush to a fancy oral b electric one. It beeps when I should move on to my next quadrent and a red light flashes if I'm brushing too hard! It has different modes & I looooooove it! My teeth have never felt cleaner

We changed out the breakfast table which was a surprising upgrade! It really was just because it fit the space better, but we love everything about it!

We replaced our existing deck and front porch and they look sooooo much better now. We are also in the process of converting to natural gas. Who knew home improvements would be so exciting!

Let's see.. I haven't really upgraded anything in the last few months, not since we had the baby, but I suppose I'll go with my new job! I started in July and I loove it. It pays so much better, and the work isn't boring! Big upgrade!

We upgraded some of our kitchen light fixtures and did a makeover to our fireplace. Spent about $200 total, but man, i LOVE the way it looks. It really freshened up this area. Super happy with our upgrade!
Next up....cabinets!

We had lots of upgrades this past summer!
- I love our new floors! I want to get rid of the carpet in our bedrooms now.
- we also had a ton of trees cut down so we doubled our backyard size. Next spring, we will plant grass and landscape.
- we painted our kicthen cabinets white & our kitchen looks so new and bright now.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Ha, yeah, and our couch is within spitting distance (literally) of the dining room so I decided we better do it now while the old one was still in sellable condition. Plus soon we'll have another kiddo around to spit up on it ... Thankfully we were able to snag a decent deal on a floor model. Those things are not cheap.

Our leather furniture was passed down to us so thankfully we didn't have to buy it... But the sectional was so expensive. If it isnt covered in cat hair, it's covered with crayon. Or both, at the same time.
I don't know what we were thinking. Obviously we weren't.

I think our latest upgrade was our car! We went from a Honda CR-V to a Mazda CX-9... then after an accident we ended up with the Grand Touring model for even less $$. We absolutely love and appreciate our car every single day! but that upgrade was a while ago...
We're hoping to upgrade from a queen to a king sized bed this weekend for our 8th anniversary / christmas / birthday presents!

The one downside of the new couch is that the plusher cushions = LO's new favorite trampoline. Sigh.

@looch: Oh man, I'd better not tell my husband about this, he would jump all over those light controls!! It would definitely be amazing... just this week I was pulling out of the driveway and noticed that our closet light was on upstairs. I had to debate whether to get out and run upstairs to turn it off while leaving a fussy baby in the car AND running late for work, or just leave it on all day

We haven't made it yet, but tomorrow we will be getting the new hyped up X1 platform on Comcast/Xfinity. We have SO MANY issues with them now and I am really hoping the new equipment will do the trick.
Then, at black Friday/cyber Monday we will get a new big TV

Our biggest upgrade in the last year has probably been my car, from an old Misubishi sedan on it's last legs to a CR-V... Makes me so happy!
We're also upgrading a few things around home in prep for the baby, but will also look at upgrading our cell phones - we both have the old Apple 3Gs!
