I'm itching to decorate, but I don't know where to start.
Not very good at this kind of stuff!

@chopsuey: those pumpkins you posted were awesome! I might try to look for one this weekend at TJMaxx and get a few gourds for my LOs to decorate. We're buttoning the house up for the cold season this weekend so I might pull out the Halloween / fall decorations.

I did for Halloween last weekend. I ordered some new stuff so I went ahead and put it out when it got here. I made this for the front door. LO tells me when we pull in the driveway I like that, Boo!

I haven't yet. I like to wait until October 1. There is a house near my office that was decked out before September 18!

It's still a million degrees here, so it feels silly to be putting out hay bales and gourds in a tank top, iced tea in hand. Still, the girls and I are making fall-themed decorations and art projects this week and next, so we'll put those out for October regardless of the weather.
I'll switch out our table linens, hand towels and salt and pepper shakers to the fall themed ones and make fall-themed center pieces too. We'll get pumpkins mid-October at local pumpkin patches. I'll put a couple of mums by the door. The girls and I made ghost garland last year and are making a pumpkin and bat one this year, so those will line the mantel and hang from the bar.

Nope. I only decorate come Christmas time, but would love to for other holidays once the kiddos are a bit older and understand. Then maybe they'll enjoy helping me decorate?

We're starting to. DD1 and I decorated some gourds yesterday. Hoping to get to the garden center for mums this weekend.

Just a little pumpkin planter on the front step with fall flowers in it. I need to get my fall owls and other decor out. I don't really decorate for Halloween.

I put my fall wreath up and have a Halloween candy bowl out, but that's it. I'm not good at that kind of stuff. I hope to one day get better at it.

I'll have to check out Target and see what kind of wreaths they have for Fall. Other than a front door decor I dont decorate. A couple years back I bought bright red dried wood wreaths for Christmas, which set the color scheme for ornaments.

@.twist.: me either! I have to wait. It helps that it's still pretty hot here.

Not yet, but I'm using this weekend to get ready. I've got some much stuff I have to sort through. I try to put up the decorations on October 1st every year. We decorate more for Halloween then we do for Christmas.

I started putting decorations out this week and realized that I have very little. LO asked where we can buy more. He loves Halloween and keeps asking how many days left.

No yet! I had to ditch all my cheap, tacky décor when we moved. So now I'm staring fro scratch! I want to buy some more classic stuff this time.

I got all the Halloween decorations down from the attic last night so I could figure out what I need to buy for our Halloween party. Nothing is out (except some purple string lights that W *had* to have in her room), but I will start decorating in the next week or so

I usually just decorate the front porch and put out a few pottery pumpkins I own on the mantel.

We bought a fall wreath recently that we will probably hang this weekend but we need to find the time to go through our box of fall decorations for inside the house.

Fall wreath is out. Fall floral table arrangement is out. DD put up window adhesives. Still to come: pumpkins/mums/switching outdoor flag to my Halloween flag

I'll wait to October 1. I just always do mums and pumpkins. Done and done. I'm going to Target later though and I might get a wreath if it's like the best Halloween/fall wreath ever and a good price.
