Bounced back and forth between a gender preference?
I am looking at nurseries & I am finding that my eye is going more toward the boy themed rooms then the girl rooms. The sight of pink is just yucky right now. I look at it and think Ewww. I have always wanted a little girl so this is throwing me off a bit. I'm warming up to the idea of having a boy & currently have more boy nurseries pinned.

@highwire: Please do share. I am terrified of having way to much pink. *side note* the Chinese calender says we are having a girl.

I'm scared of raising a girl, but really want one to dress up in bows and lace and frills.
I don't think DH would approve of me dressing our dude like that.

My daughters' rooms are brown and blue... Not a bit of pink in sight! We even have a onesie that says "I don't do pink".

I'm not a pink fan, either. My daughter's room is green and blue.

Yeah I thought I wanted a girl but the day of the anatomy scan I was hoping for a boy so badly.
We have a boy and I wouldn't trade him for anything!

@Sugar.Biscuit: I guess I kind of did but overall I didn't really have a preference. I have a girl and her room does have some pink but its more yellow. And she wears all the colors!

We have a girl and her room has no pink. It's gray with black furniture and purple curtains.

@septemberlove: I was the same way. Up till getting pregnant I desperately wanted a girl. For some reason at our scan I cried I was so happy he's a boy.

@Sugar.Biscuit: I was the same way. I wanted a girl so bad until I got pregnant, then all I wanted to look at was boy things. The Chinese chart said girl for me but two scans have said boy so!?

@ladybee: DH wants a boy & I think its my desire to please him that maybe shifting my preference. When it comes down to it we both just want a healthy baby.

@Sugar.Biscuit: that is exactly how I felt! After a mc, and IF drugs I wanted a baby. I didn't care which gender but DH still wanted a boy so I think that changed my wants. Plus I want a girl one day and we will probably have 2-3 kids so there is still a chance

@highwire: I love the pictures above the crib & the rocker is awesome, it looks so comfy! I suck at putting stuff together so hopefully the MIL will help me.
@Anagram: Love this look. I think I may have pinned the bottom two rooms. How did you do your inspiration board?
Maybe it was the amount of pink in some of these rooms. I found this room on houzz.com (the picture) to be just the right amount & color of pink.

Before I got pregnant, I wanted a girl. We miscarried and later found out she was a girl, so I think of her as my "angel daughter." This time, I didn't really care, I just wanted a healthy baby. I am soooo thrilled that we're having a boy!! I picked out the nursery theme before knowing the gender and it doesn't have any pink. Too much pink doesn't appeal to me!

@Sugar.Biscuit: there's an ap for iPhones/iPads called Collage. It's free, and there are similar apps for androids. It just lets you add pics you already saved, move and resize them, etc.
I really needed the visual because our nursery will also be our guest room and we have bedding for that room that is less than a yer old, so DH nixed the idea of brand new bedding to go with the crib bedding I liked best before (the big top circus set on Land do Nod--- which is also not girls, but has lots of primary colors). Once I realized that would clash with our existing guest bedding, I started searching for crib sets to match the tape/gray/teal/aqua theme.
Once it looked cute together, it made me less sad about not getting the Big Top set.

We were team green and didn't know LO was a girl until after the nursery was done. So we went neutral, which I would have done anyway. I've never been a girly girl or into pink and frills so I knew if LO was a girl I would be ok with blues and greens.

@Sugar.Biscuit: I'm not a fan of pink at all, so I did my daughters room in lavender, grey and white.
