My younger sister who is 22 years old just found out she is pregnant. She is single, living with our parents, doesn't have a steady job, pretty much in no place to have a baby.
She is considering abortion, and I'm pretty sure she is going to follow through with it. I do not believe in abortion at all, and I am pressuring her to keep the baby. I feel like because she was irresponsible, she needs to own up to her mistakes and go through with the pregnancy and take care of her baby.
There is not one person who agrees with me. My family is telling her to have an abortion because it's with her ex bf who is psycho and doesn't want him to be a part of the family or him to have anything to with us. Her best friend is also telling her to have an abortion.
I just think she sees abortion as a quick fix to her problem, kill it and be done with it. She doesn't understand it's a growing baby with a heartbeat, she's got to be around 8-9 weeks, but she doesn't know how far along she is exactly.
I could go on forever, but have you ever dealt with a situation similar? What would you tell the sister to persuade her to not have an abortion? Or should I just stay out of it, her body her choice? Advice!
