At work, we hired a recent college grad at the beginning of the summer for an entry level sales position. Her numbers are average and she is habitually tardy and has been warned about attendance issues. She didn't show up to work today and didn't call or notify anyone. We called, texted and emailed and received no response for 6 hours. Her excuse...she thought it was Saturday and she went to San Diego (2 hours away) to help her friend move. Um...ok? She was scheduled to work this Saturday and Sunday but the other manager just told her to come in on Monday for her final check.
So irritated! We have to hire and train someone new..which means I have to work at the office instead of from home for the next few weeks!
