Looking into a Painting with a Twist date night with hubs!

I've done it with the gf's, I think we enjoyed it more than DH would have...he's not really into that kind of thing.

I never have, but I actually think this would be fun with DH. He is very artistic, and I think he would enjoy a night of painting.

I really wanted to but the ones in my area sell out fast! Make sure to look for Groupon or Living Social deal too! I def think it's more fun with GFs. Plus, what would I do with two identical paintings?

I did one night with friends.
My cousin does a lot with her husband and he looks miserable in the pictures! Not his thing. Plus then you have two of the same painting.

We did a HB meetup at a place like this and it was fun! I think better as a girls night thing. My DH would not be into it at all.

I've painted pottery on dates. It was cute. My husband made me a travel coffee mug and it says Lemon's Mug. I love it.

@snowjewelz: we ended up picking a picture to split in half and we each painted half. It looks cool!

@snowjewelz: we just told the people that we didn't want to have two of the same, so they let us pick through the gallery and they printed it for us to copy.

My DH would hate this. It was fun with GFs though!

I have done it twice! Once with a girlfriend and once with my Mom. We had so much fun. But, I don't think my husband would have enjoyed himself. He said he would go with me if I really wanted him to, but both times I have been, there were no other men there.

@travelgirl1: The ones I'm looking up for are specifically set up for couples/date nights! So I think it'd be fun and the painting is set up like @Mrs. J: mentioned, a 2 piece!

Wait a minute -- I just looked up our local paint studio, and it looks like you pretty much all have to paint the same picture as each other. Is that how these usually work? I actually do not think DH would like that at all. He's very creative and would probably like to paint something that is truly his own.
I would do the structured classes with girlfriends, but maybe this isn't DH's cup of tea after all

I am going to one in a couple weeks! Super excited to try it out because I love love love painting but I never get to do it with caring for a toddler all the time
I'm going with a Moms Club, though I bet it would be a really fun date too. I have heard great things even from people with no art skills! -
Haven't done one myself, but know some people that have. They enjoyed it!
