I really want to lop off some of my hair but don't want to spend a lot. Has anyone ever had their hair cut at Great Clips or somewhere like that? How did it turn out?

Yep. Like most salons its hit or miss but my last haircut at a cost cutters was way better than the one I got at aveda tht was three times as much!

I think all salons can be hit or miss, regardless of price. I always get nervous going to a new stylist!
(PS just got my hairs cut off and really liked the guy - $46 which wasn't *too* bad)

My mom took me there well into my teenage years and it was mostly ok, but a few occasions where it was totally fucked up. Those experiences scarred me enough to not ever go back, lol. But I also have super tempramental curly hair.
My mom always goes to great clips though and it looks great! She has a simpler hair style though, just a straight chin length bob.
