I'm looking to buy a few inexpensive car seats so I can pick up DD's friends from school as well and bring them over for play dates. They are in the 3.5 - 6 year old age range. Any recommendations?

I'm not sure what price range you are looking in, but we recently purchased this Evenflo to use as an extra carseat at Grandma's: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006PB2B6O/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=1535523722&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B006PB2B3M&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1655Z867JWNAA8M3XV5Z
Haven't tried it out yet, but at $50 it's very affordable and got good reviews.

@pinkcupcake: thanks! I was thinking $50!
@autumnlove: @yin: lol. Costco or Cosco? Or both?

I have the Cosco Scenera, it's our airplane/travel seat. If you're using it front facing, which I assume you are, I'd recommend it. I think I paid $35 for it, on clearance at diapers.com
eta: I have no idea how much an average 6 year old weighs, though, so I'd have to check the weight/height limits on the seat.
Another option is the Graco Nautilus.

@looch: I will check the weight/heights. Thanks for the recs!
