I have before, but it was nothing bad. Today I invited my friend to come with her hubby tonight to hang out while the guys do their thing. She texted "apparently the X's want to get together tonight, but I don't want to" She may not have meant it in a rude way, as in she just wasn't feeling like being social or had things to do at home, but I found it a little rude nonetheless...

Yes, I have, and I felt like a complete jerk and looking back, it was a really immature text. My friend was gushing about how her boyfriend was buying her this and taking her here and there and getting her tons of flowers. I meant to text my other friend to say that I wish she wouldn't brag so much about it and I sent it to the wrong person.
We were 18 and I was super immature at the time though and I apologized (and I hopefully was just having a bad day but I don't remember). I don't send stuff like that anymore and I almost always check my text messages anyway to make sure they go to the right person. I still feel like a jerk about that incident though.

I have a few times! I sent my boss a text during my maternity leave that was intended for my friend. It was something like...when should I talk to BOSS? It was when my friend was giving me advice about how to ask to work from home or go part time.

Yes. And it was me apologizing for running late to hang out with a friend and I went it to my boss. There was a few swears in it 
he thought it was really funny. I was super embarrassed!

Yes, but nothing bad. I actually have received more then I sent. My Mom replied to a group text Thanksgiving night when out shopping, telling my Dad what she got me for Christmas. Opps, she thought it was just to him.

Multiple times. sometims very awkward. Thankfully my new smartphone has the text messages in conversations bubbles kind of like the iphone so its easier to see who I am responding too.

@sorrycharlie: She realized what she did right away and went on and on about how she was just tired and blah blah blah and something about hanging out later this week. Meh, I'll think about it but probably not. I may not feel like it

I have. It was a little embarrassing. I sent a text to my mom that was meant for my DH. It said something like, "can I send you a photo for your eyes only?" At least I just didn't send the photo. lol

No, but my mom does all the time. She'll be like "stopping to pick up our dinner." And I'll write back "really?" She lives 8 hours away so if she's bringing me dinner that's quite a commitement.

Yep, but never anything embarrassing. I text a coworker once with the same name of my husband asking if he wanted to meet me at the grocery store, luckily the coworker knew my husband's name was the same and joked with me.

I bought DH some boxer briefs on sale at the Banana outlet for cheap, and I was so excited about the deal that I texted him "I got you a ton of new drawers from BR!" and instead of sending it to DH, it went to a male coworker I'd texted earlier. I immediately caught it and apologized and explained it was meant for DH, and he replied "Damn...I was really excited. I need new drawers!" lol:)

Hahaha, yeah, but I haven't in a looong time. The only one that stands out was a boyfriend my senior year of high school...I was meaning to send the text to my friend, just completing bitching about my boyfriend at the time (who seriously sucked, he was mean) and I sent it to him instead. The best part was, after the initial panic passed, I sent him another one saying, "I meant to send that to Friend, but really, I'm glad you got it." Hahahah. Fail.
