I love my LO's pediatrician, but I'm not a huge fan of the office. May be my fault for not "interviewing" pediatricians, I don't know. I don't think we'll switch, but curious if you did - why did you?

Yep. I could not get a same-day appointment, which was a complete deal breaker for me. He's a great family practice doctor, but what's the point if I can't get in to see him? We switched to a pediatrician-only practice where half of the appointments each day are reserved for same-day sick kids. I'm so glad we switched!

I love our Pedi's location and the nurses, however, our pediatrician left the practice so we have just been floating between the different Pedi's at the same office. I wish I could find someone we love, but we tend to spend more time with the nurses than with the doc so I am in no hurry to find a different one.

Yup. We had different views on things and I don't think she was very thorough. She was nice, but when dealing with your little ones health that's not enough. I also disliked the office staff and location.

I did. The ped was ok, but I just didn't "feel it." I didn't think she was up on current research re: foods and such. Also the location was super old. I switched to a brand new office (same health system) and I am so happy that I did! I love the new ped...we just click.

I love, love our ped, but I think I will switch when we have baby #2. We had a bunch of early bf'ing problems, and I personally know another ped from work who is also a lactation consultant. I feel like that would be immeasurably helpful next time!

I like the practice, but I do not like the managing partner and our current pediatrician, but I do not have a lot of options in our town.

We are considering it. All was well till our LO got sick this summer, was hospitalized, on oxygen at home for weeks. We did not feel like we were well supported during this time. We are torn about changing groups though - well, DH wants to, I'm torn. I really like the MD we see now and have minimum problems getting appts including same day. But the logistics are tricky, we may change insurance during open enrollment next year, and would have to change at that time, or I may change jobs in the next year or 2 and that would also require a change. Don't want to change twice in 1-2 years.

We had to, we moved 2.5 hours away! I'm not 100% sold on the new ped though.
