I had my palm read and cards done (not sure what that's called) at the fair once. She told me that I would marry my current boyfriend one day (I did) and that we would have twins. The twins are yet to be determined. I didn't pay for it though. I was working at an ice cream booth and we exchanged services.

I've done a bunch for fun that were your typical vague responses that you can interpret any way you want; but one lady I saw (twice) in NYC was amazing. I was living in FL at the time, and she said I would move back at a time when I actually did move back to new England. She talked to me in specifics about things in my past which no one, not even my mother, knows about. She also told me my future husband was already in my life, his name was short, started with the letter R and that we would have a daughter (2 daughters in total). My husband's name is Ron and now we have a daughter.

about 4-5 years ago before i was even married, i was approached by a man in the parking lot of my apartment complex. i lived in a really nice area and he wasn't really out of place looking. um, my memory is fuzzy, but he basically started asking me questions about my future and present and knew things no one else in the world could have known! i was thinking ok, this guy is going through my mail or something, but that totally isn't the case because i had my mail sent to a po box elsewhere. then, when i was in vegas for my own wedding about a year after that, i was approached by a random lady who couldn't believe how strong my aura was. i know nothing about auras but she was just in awe that it was so strong.

so...i've never been to a psychic on my own, but i would love to go to one. i loveeee that show long island medium, even though she isn't a psychic.

Yup I've gone to a couple, DH hates that I believe them! When we were TTC I couldn't justify spending $40 on a in person psychic reading so like you I spent $15 on a Internet one. I went back to read her reading recently and she said we were going to have a total of 4 children ( 2 boys, 2 girls). She said our first was going to be a girl and that I was going to have a smooth pregnancy and that she would be born or conceived in June. I had a very smooth pregnancy and DD was born just a couple weeks ago June 25th. It could've been coincidence but I think psychics are fun, plus it was only $15 dollars!

I haven't! Thought it would be fun, but freaks me out at the same time.

@jholler25: that's really cool that she's been accurate (so far). My friend's mom is psychic and she asked her what we are having and she said girl. I'm pretty sure her mom told her that I would get pregnant soon bc she kept telling me she knew we would get pregnant, it was a matter of time. But her mom won't tell you any bad stuff, just the good.

I've never been to a psychic or fortune teller type person. Even though i get anxious wondering about the future I think I am better off not knowing the future until it becomes the present.

I got a reading in Jackson Square in mid-Aug 2005. I was leaving the Quarter and only had cab fare but the tug at the table I was walking by insisted that he HAD to read me, called me by name and did it for free.

He told me my world was about to be shaken up and changed by major forces outside of my control, and I'd end up moving across the country, but not to be scared because everything wad going to work out and I'd meet my soulmate within the year.

2 weeks later Hurricane Katrina hit. 3 weeks later I moved to PA. Almost exactly a year to the day after the reading I met DH.

I went to a palm-reader at an event once. They told me that my mother was experiencing some intestinal issues and that she needed to go to the doctor. I told my mom about it off-handedly and she was shocked because she had been feeling a lot of indigestion and swollen ankles. She didn't go to the doctor (she never ever did even though she was supposed to be on medication and under treatment for a stroke she'd had 4 years prior) and she had a heart attack and died immediately like, a couple of weeks later.

So, I don't use them anymore. They give me the heebie jeebies.
