I'm just so freaking excited. I got my first dose (of the Pfizer) at the hospital on Tuesday. Our hospital is hoping to have all employees vaccinated by the end of January. My 2nd dose is scheduled for the 20th. I'm hoping my 2 month old gets some antibodies from my breastmilk.
My arm got sore the evening of the shot, I had some fever and chills overnight, and then some general soreness and malaise the next day, but all better now.

DH got his first dose (Pfizer) on Tuesday. Other than arm soreness the first day he's been fine. I believe he gets the second dose on the 19th.

@superkate: that's awesome, I'm sure he must be feeling some relief. I know after such a stressful year, it was really emotional for me to end on a hopeful note! Also, that's great that he didn't have too many side effects.

I’m a rph but my work doesn’t have vaccine. I asked the health department to vaccinate and they said they’re not sure pharmacists are phase 1a 🙄 we are, so I appealed, but haven’t heard back. I’m frustrated to be caught in the bureaucracy of this but trying to be patient

DH got his right away on the 18th and a close friend got hers two days ago. I’m so happy-jealous/excited for them! Both only report a sore arm. This has been a much needed positive spot this year, I totally understand your excitement!!!
@gotkimchi: DH and I were talking to our CVS pharmacists while picking up our prescriptions this week and they said that they’re both expected to go in and give vaccinations at our local long term care facilities. But as far as they’ve heard they won’t be offered the vaccine for themselves. UM, WHAAAT?!

@BadgerMom: yah the fuck? You better believe I’d be giving myself one before entering a ltc facility. I mean hello that helps protect everyone

@gotkimchi: I hope you hear back soon! I was really antsy to get my invite too. I hope in the coming weeks, the place gets picked up and more people get them who need or want them. You need the vaccine, especially if you're going to be administering them!
@BadgerMom: I'm glad they had good experiences! I won't feel total relief until everyone else can have theirs too, but I'm grateful to have mine. Like DH teaches, but at the college level. I have no idea what phase he would fall under, if any.

I got mine on Wednesday! I had very very mild arm soreness, less than the flu shot this year! Also got Pfizer!
