I've just started thinking about it today. My sister and I are usually the ones who do all the cooking for our family.

I was thinking about this last night. We go down to DH's aunt's cabin, so I don't do the full dinner, but I usually do desserts and breads (like pumpkin banana bread for breakfast). I'm trying to figure out if I could add a side or two in this year.

Yes! I just found out that I will have the day off this year, which I didn't for the past two years, so that immediately put me in meal planning mode

I love menu planning for Thanksgiving. Here's mine...for 8

Turkey*
Cornbread stuffing with sage sausage
Cranberry-citrus relish
Giblet onion gravy
Honeybaked ham with cloves
Pumpkin biscuits with apple butter
Mac & Cheese
Collards with sweet tangy chutney
Vegetable Tian (zucchini, squash, eggplant, red potato)
Candied Yams, maybe

Apple Cider Champagne punch with cranberry and pomegranate

Desserts: (Guests are bringing these)
Sweet potato pie
Pound cake
Banana pudding
MIL's dessert

*Turkey: I haven't decided if I am going to make the crock pot turkey breast or a marinated rosemary-citrus turkey parts in the oven. The game plan is still not to cook an entire bird whole in the oven.
