I was going to send mine away but maybe I can do it myself since I have a sewing machine. I need to replace the elastics around the legs!
Have you repaired your LO's BG diapers?

I've been staring at my box of loose elastic diapers for a while now and just yesterday started googling "how to fix diaper elastics" but I'm pretty intimidated, I'm a novice sewer at best. Where are you sending yours?

I bookmarked it a few months ago after I read about it on a blog!
I just Googled this...doesn't look that bad!

I replaced the elastics and velcro tabs in one of mine - it wasn't too hard! I am NOT good at sewing either!

I converted Velcro to snaps! I can't sew at all though so I will have to enlist the help of my mom or MIL to help with elastics.

I just started working on mine. I wanted to do them before the new baby arrives. It's not hard but it's slow going... My record is 3 in 2 hours. I'm a horrible seamstress though.

@Beyond2: Are you using a machine or hand sewing? I'm nervous about messing up the diapers!

I found a lady who re-did my elastics for $4 per. And then velcro to snap conversions for another $4 per. I love a good DIY, but with that price I decided it was all hers! It doesn't look hard, just slow and particular, I can't be bothered for that one.

@autumnlove: machine. I was really nervous too but as long as I'm careful I've been ok so far. It is a pain to get everything situated under the foot of the machine though!

I just wanted to add my diapers have been in use for 17 months and replacing the elastic makes a huge difference!

@Beyond2: I bet...some of our BGs have no stretch right now! Lots of pee leaks so I set them aside for the time being!

@autumnlove: @Beyond2: I guess I really need to look at mine before using for #2.
