I have finally stopped puking, which I awesome! However, now I'm experiencing the worst heartburn ever. I can't take tums.
Does anyone have any other tips or suggestions.

I always carried a pack of gum with me when I was pregnant to relieve heartburn. It works surprisingly well.

I had horrible heartburn with RJ... good news is that your baby will probably be born with lots of hair!!
At night I slept with 3, sometimes 4 pillows under my head. I basically slept sitting up. I also avoided chocolate, caffeine, tomato sauce, fried foods, and any other super acidic foods. I sometimes drank a tall glass of cold skim milk to soothe the fire. And of course there's always Tums.

Can you take Zantac? My doctor said if my heartburn ever got really bad that it was fine for me to take it.

Why can't you take tums? If it's a texture/gag reflex issue, have you tried the smoothie version? Their texture is a lot easier for me to get down. I also took Zantac when my heartburn was really bad, and that helped a lot. I have a friend who swears by papaya extract for heartburn, but I've never tried it.

Prilosec is all that worked for me. Zantac and Tums didn't work.
Eat/drink early before you lay down for the night- literally give yourself several hours.
Avoid chocolate.

Yoga! It sounds strange, but it totally worked for me. I think the breathing and relaxing/stretching of my chest muscles is what did it.

I have noticed that laying on my left side makes it feel better. The moment I switch positions, it comes back!

I wouldn't recommend the apple suggestion--personally it GIVES me heartburn. The chewing gum thing, however, does actually work! Also, milky stuff, ice cream, bananas all seem to help a bit. Also, sleeping propped up when you do have it helps.
