    @cheert16: Maybe a good motivator, but not speller. I noticed I spelled lose like loose a ton of times in the thread

    This is a great idea! My weight loss is so slow that it's not worth me joining. I only wish I could lose 4% in a month. Haha

    Just a reminder that the game starts this Friday!

    @TemperanceBrennan: What did your payout wind up being? I'm 75% going to join this one.... I won my bet by 1/10th of a pound-- so I'm a little nervous doing it again knowing I won't have a big first week like this round. I'm going to see what the scale says thursday or friday and then decide. It is definitely good motivation though. Still waiting for the rest of the players to weigh in to see what my payout is this round.

    @OpinionsLikeKittens: I haven't found out yet because people can still weigh-in until midnight tonight. I was actually closer than I thought I would be. Last Friday I was four pounds under my goal, but I went out of town this weekend and didn't pay much attention to eating and when I weighed in, I was only 7/10ths under my goal!

    There is only one other person (besides me) that signed up for the HB diet bet so far :sad:, so I might cancel it.

    I signed up for the 6 month, 10% weight loss challenge that starts on the 2nd. I think that should be more realistic. You should join that one too!

    @TemperanceBrennan: I thought about a 6 month one but the $150 bet is too much for me to risk.... even with a high likelihood of reaching the goal I don't have that amount to risk right now.

    @OpinionsLikeKittens: I wasn't sure either, but I'm just doing the monthly bet, so it is only $25 up front. You can drop out after each month and not owe anything additional. Not to pressure you or anything, just making sure you know the options.

    @OpinionsLikeKittens: So my payout was $46.51, with a $30 bet, so I made $16.51. I was hoping to make a little more, but I'll take it!

    @TemperanceBrennan: Yeah...that is about what I'm expecting. It actually looks like over 50% succeeded which is surprising to me considering the size of the group. I think the 6 month ones must have a lower success rate. I mean, I didn't do it for money but that was definitely a perk. If I were using that as a strategy I think smaller ones like 15 or so people would have higher payouts. Congrats though, you lost the weight that is the bigger prize!

    @TemperanceBrennan: my payout was $20 on a $30 bet so that was pretty fun. My husband and I decided to do the 6 month one that starts 3/4; is that the one you're in? It seems more doable than the one month bets... and it takes me right to where I want to be to start TTC again (OMG is September really only 6 months from now BARF).

    @OpinionsLikeKittens: $20 bucks is awesome!
    That's the one I'm! I'm trying to get to my goal weight before we TTC too. DH wants to start this summer, but I would rather wait until fall. I did find out that if I do get pregnant, I can get my money back.
    I'll wall you my name!
