It's been 2 weeks and 2 days since we first launched Hellobee Gold...
Now that things have settled down a bit, was wondering what you guys think of Gold!
Classic bees: does the vibe still feel the same?
Gold bees: how are you liking gold threads and private wall posts?
Everyone: Any features you'd like to see added to Gold?

I really like it! As a Gold member, I feel so much more comfortable sharing more pictures now. I'm really not sure what other features I would like though....I will have to think about it!

I would love it if there was a tab at the top on the green bar where it says Blog / Boards / Dads / etc. where you could filter Gold threads. I know you can do it by clicking on archives on the side, but this would be easier. It would only show up for members who are Gold.

I enjoy it. I honestly don't notice too much of a difference from then to now besides some more photos.
I'd probably love the private message feature more if anyone ever sent me PM's! *cries*. Just kidding, I think it's cool and will use it when necessary!
As for additional features, I'd really love if our profile pages were not visible to the public and only HB could see them. If possible.
ETA: OH, or some sort of notification icon when someone does post on your wall and/or tags you in a thread.

One thing I would suggest would be marking posts as gold on the blog sidebar. I've clicked on many posts over there only to be told that they are gold only.

I love it! I don't think anything has changed, if anything it has improved (at least from a Gold standpoint)...I like knowing we can get more personal without everyone in the world having access to it.

I don't think the vibe of the site has changed at all which is great. I really love how it actually has brought a sense of community with the ability to gift gold to other members!!
The only down side is I have is that I have seen a lot of gold posts that are really of interest to me and I cannot read them. I hope to one day be able to upgrade to gold (and show my appreciation for all you and Mrs Bees hard work!) but at the moment it is just not in the cards for me. I hope when I finally do get gold I will remember which posts I was wanting to read.

I would love to have a notification bar for what post ls people have replied & for the threads I am following. Sometimes I get the emails days later. Simular to FB.

Would it be difficult to add a show gold posts only filter like you did for classic posts?
Also, it would be cool for additional profile information for gold bees that only other gold bees could see (or choosing for some profile information to stay gold only). New stuff would be like number of children and their age. Does that make sense?

I am going to be honest- HB is a great community and the gifting is gold is so kind, but at times it definitely feels like middle school all over again. Maybe if the gifting posts could be made Gold that would get rid of the cliqueness of it.
Other wise with the ability to filter out the Gold posts, not too much has changed.

I think it's going really great!
I've only been gold a few days & can say before getting it I still felt the same community atmosphere as before introducing it, which was a pretty big concern of mine initially.
Now as a gold member I like that I do have the option to post something not easily seen by anyone I know IRL just simply doing a google search.
Things to add... I think if the sidebar from the blog could distinguish gold vs. classic like a pp mentioned that would be awesome.

I feel like it has remained very much the same. I love, love, love the private wall post option - it has already come in handy! and of course, really enjoy the ability to feel more comfortable sharing photos (though I know, yeah yeah, nothing on the internet is really private etc etc).

I'm enjoying gold. I love the ability to post private wall messages. I like @.twist.: suggestion of making user's profiles private. I hate that someone could find my profile and see every post I've made or commented on.

I really like the private wall post feature - there is one gold member who I have an uncanny amount in common with on one particular issue and it's very nice to be candid on a private wall post!

I'm not gold, but i dont think the community has changed much (other than the constant "who gifted me gold?!" posts, which i could see how some people wouldn't appreciate, but i find them heartwarming 
my only complaint about gold from an outside observer is that you can only pay through paypal. maybe i'm the only person without a paypal account, but it's the reason i'm not gold yet! i'm not sure if i'm alone in this or if you'd be making more $ off it if you accepted credit cards...

@mrsmenow: I agree about the gifting gold posts... it's a sweet gesture, but it feels a little like not getting a carnation on valentine's day at school (for the record, I bought gold for myself)

When I do go gold, I think it would be great to have a notification icon when someone mentions you or posts on your wall, etc.

@mrsmenow: Sure, if newly gold bees want to post it as a gold thread... that's fine with me! It's not really something we can control though.

@Pirouette: When you click on the Buy gold link, there should be an option that says, "Don't have a Paypal Account"? That lets you pay with a credit or debit card, without having to join Paypal!

@mrbee: It still looks the same for me. I tried logging out & back in as well to see if that would change it. The gold posts still look the same as the classic so it's not until I clicked I knew which was which. =/

I can see why some people are uncomfortable with the gifting and all the "I got gifted" threads, since I was too, before getting gifted (thank you again!). When I paid forward my gift, I tried to tell the user in advance by PMing her wall so she wouldn't need to feel like she needed to start a thread, but it didn't work since there was some kind of delay and she couldn't see it and started a thread!
Anyway, being Gold came at a good time for me, since I was beginning to wonder what relevance I had in this community, with older (but not that much older) kids. I'm still not planning to share photos right now, but I do appreciate the privacy of the gold threads and definitely the PM wall!

@mrskc: I couldn't agree with this more. I wish profiles were only visible if logged in. I don't know if that is a Gold feature so much as a HB issue?

I think the community feels about the same as well. I've enjoyed a lot of the Gold content, and the private wall is great.
I appreciate the responsiveness and the obvious desire to from the Bees to make this a good feature for all members.

I'm not sure that this would be of interest to anyone else, but what about a gold-only chat once a month? Sort of like the postathons, but in a real-time chat situation (like a chatroom). So much easier than trying to follow all the threads. I mean, I realize chatrooms haven't been cool since 2001, but I think it would be fun to have a virtual mommy playdate once a month.

I am digging the gold. (get it heh heh heh) Even before I was gifted I thought the gifting was super kind and never thought I'd be gifted because I'm such a new bee.
It is nice that the more personal things cannot be seen by my IRL peeps.
Would be nice to have an option to sort by gold posts
Echoing what a few others said, a notification icon when you have a wall post or mention would be nice but not a deal breaker for me.
