@sea_bass: Yep, pretty much my exact reaction to 99% of the trash published by the Daily Mail.

@sea_bass: Sigh, that makes total sense. More clicks = more ad revenue so posting something this controversial is the fastest money maker on the web. How dirty!

This lady absolutely disgusts me. And the fact that someone acutally published this article like this heartless woman should be admired for it, is even more disgusting. Those poor babies.

I like how she speaks all high and mighty of her decision to stay home with the kids as being the 'only right one' and calls working moms selfish, but then goes on to say that she hated every moment of it and wishes she never had kids. Um.. I think if there were ever a case for the mom to go back to work this would be it. If you don't want to be a mom in the first place, why would you torture yourself with being a SAHM? I feel like you might go a little nutty, which def happened in this case.
Also, I don't think she considered the fact that she got married super young then had kids shortly after instead of waiting until she was 'ready'. I also didn't want to have kids when DH and I first got married, but over time and when I hit the right age my views changed and I'm so glad that we waited until we were ready!

You know what, I think she put way too much pressure and expectation upon herself, and that pushed her over from ambivalence about motherhood to downright resentment. Even though she says she didn't have postpartum depression, her description of how she reacted to each child as a baby really sounds a lot like it. I wonder if she'd given birth nowadays whether her diagnosis might be different.
She nonetheless loves her children and has had this talk with them before. I really think she's quite brave (especially considering the backlash she's faced) admitting that children were not for her. There are probably many other mothers who feel the same way, but are too ashamed to admit it because "YOUR LIFE PURPOSE IS FULFILLED NOW WHY ARE YOU NOT HAPPY?!"....etc.

OMG! This woman lives in the same city as me! *shudder*
But I agree with PPs who have pointed out which newspaper this is in.... they print this kind of stuff to get a reaction. I do feel sorry for her children though - fancy picking up the paper and reading about how unwanted you were and still are!

I truly think there's something psychologically wrong with that woman. Who leaves a baby somewhere and doesn't have an ounce of panic when they realize it? It sounds like she has some kind of emotional detachment disorder.
