    I want to be a holiday hottie! Count me in!

    Goals:
    To tone up and maybe lose 5 lbs. in the process. (My pre-preg jeans are waiting for me!) I think I can make it happen by working out 3-4x/week and eating cleaner.

    Now that you mention it, I should also floss more and sleep in less makeup.

    I made it to a crossfit class tonight even though it was a cold windy night so I feel good about that! But I also had two mini MilkyWay bars leftover from Halloween. Maybe tomorrow I can scale back to one mini MilkyWay bar!

    @QueensBee: I totally agree! Clean eating is key . . . I have finally embraced the fact that I can't out-exercise a bad diet.

    ETA: Oh, and progress and consistency (fewer mini candy bars ftw!) is more important than perfection because perfection can't be maintained long-term!

    Update: I flossed both last night AND this morning. And I took my make-up off last night. I was pretty proud of myself

    1. Lose 5 lbs by Christmas. (I'm taking baby steps at this point.)
    2. Start running (and by this I mean slow jogging and walking) again at least 3 x week.
    3. Eat Paleo at least 70% of the time.

    @LovelyPlum: Today was a good day! Even though my schedule was completely hijacked by two meetings, I still ate super clean! I also went to bed makeup free last night . . . but I didn't floss. Ahhh well, progress is progess!

    @Mrs. Blue: Every step--no matter the size--is a step in the right direction!

    Okies all . . . happy to report that:

    I did not sleep in my makeup!

    That I ate clean yesterday (although I did not eat enough, . . . but I can get back on track today!) . . .

    And I am already down a few pounds

    Count. Me. In. Ugh! I've been so bad! For almost a full year I ran 4-6 x/wk, ate healthy (fresh fruits & veggies, no fast food) and since August I've completely fallen off the wagon. I've gained weight, my hair/nails/skin isn't as healthy AND I'm sick for the second time!

    I will:
    Run 2x/wk
    Do my workout video 2x/wk
    Eat NO fast food or pop until after Jan 1(excluding pizza, that would kill my husband lol)
    Paint my toenails (they look hideous)
    Make healthy food choices when not at home

    Man, i had a diet coke yesterday (haven't had one in awhile) and it gave me wicked heartburn for about 5 hours.. Talk about killing any desire to have one anytime soon

    As for me, another day of clean eating achieved yesterday, and I also did not go to bed with my makeup on . . . even though I was super tired and really wanted to just fall into bed! BUT, I didn't . . . and this morning I was glad that I did not.

    @mslipgloss, your face will thank you for it! I ate mostly clean yesterday but there was a pie contest at work (and I submitted one) so I had a couple of bites.

    My ass was in the gym at 4:35 this morning and I feel like I could curl up and snooze under my desk a la George Costanza. Is it 4:00 yet? I think the energy boost already died off.

    @blackbird: 4:35 . . . . you are a ROCKSTAR! Fo shizzo! I am planning to have a splurge meal when my DH gets back from his trip . . . not like a whole pizza or anything, but maybe something *decadent* like a scoop of mac and cheese with my steak and green beans, and a small slice of a little dessert . . . I picked up individual slices of cake at the grocery store so that there wouldn't be any leftovers!

    Today, at work, someone had left some pumpkin cupcakes in the break room along with a cab of frosting with a note/instructions to frost them yourself . . . *augh* I avoided them, but just seeing the frosting made me drool! I am not craving carbs, but I did crave a cupcake for a few minutes!

    @mslipgloss: a can of frosting??? oh my! My current work temptations are donuts, donut holes AND cinnamon buns! UGH! Right next to my desk too. Only an hour and 15 minutes left before I can run away from them !

    haha. Well i am exhausted now, but it's 3:30pm and I get to go buy food and GO HOME and have the whole evening with DH and E. And sleep in a little tomorrow. So it was worth it

    I walked a lot today. Though, I indulged on two mini candy bars at my eye doctor. It's so bad that I know they stock candy there. Then, I got my favorite, favorite Wendy's. This weekend will be much better.

    @Smurfette: Not at all! Clean eating, to me, means no processed foods, so just lean proteins, vegetables, fruits, and limited (whole) grains. Minimal salt and sugar (including artificial sweeteners). Tons of water. Mostly just fresh, whole foods.

    I made peanut butter chocolate chip fudge AND chex mix today and haven't touched a crumb of either! And got 36 minutes of fitness in while LO napped. Hope you're all having a great weekend!

    I want to...

    1. Continue drinking 1 diet coke a day or less. (This is an improvement although now I'm drinking coffee. I still think cofee is much healthier and I'm trying to put only a little sugar/creamer.) I have been drinking much more water so yay for that.

    2. Get back to prepreg weight or below by March or April in prep to ttc #2. The sooner the better so I can enjoy it before getting pregnant again! I was working on it, fell off track, and started again about a week ago. I feel better already and hopefully I can sustain it through the holidays..there is nothing happy about holiday weight gain for me.

    I'm joining this even if I'm pregnant. I don't want to feel frumpy this time!!!

    1) walk 3-4 times a week, do preg yoga when I don't walk
    3) drink green smoothies and keep junk to a minimum

    Today, I ate pretty well. We also went to the Conservatory too, so lots of walking with LO on the coldest day for the year.

    @cmomma17: That is incredible!

    I had my cheat meal on Saturday . . . steak and veggies (no cheat there) with some mac and cheese and a mini baguette (the cheat part). I enjoyed it! Then got right back on track today . . . only one way to do it . . . just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

    I also have not slept with my makeup on in almost a week . . . that hasn't happened since pre-pg!
