    @cascademom: good job!!!

    I fell off the holiday hottie wagon - hard!

    @blackbird: Thanks! LO's been sick, but the stress has been insane last week and a little of this week. I'm finally caught up at work. Tonight's a holiday party at a Chinese restaurant. I'm not feeling up to Chinese, so that will keep the food out of my mouth.

    @cmomma17: Thanks! I'm making a goal of not eating donuts or cookies until the New Year to help with the temptation. I figure small goals will help me get to the sub 190's.

    Just wanted to check in with all of you!

    So, I have skipped washing my face a few nights here and there . . . which doesn't make any sense because between weaning and re-starting Retin-A . . . *augh* . . . y skin is a hot mess! But, I am back on the bandwagon as of 3 nights ago.

    I did manage to lose almost 6 pounds by the 14th (I lost 5.2 pounds), so there is that. I still have some baby weight left to lose, but at least at this point, I feel like I can get back to my pre-baby self. And that feels pretty awesome, actually.

    But it certainly hasn't been easy . . . there are lots of reasons why I wanted to just say *eff it*. But these are important goals for me, and even if I just maintain the loss through the holidays, at least I won't be where I was before I got back on track come January 1. Ideally, I would like to be down another 5 pounds by then (lofty, yes, I know!). But even if it's only 3 pounds, or 1 pound, or 0.2 pounds, I will celebrate it just the same.

    How are you lovelies this Monday?

    @MsLipGloss: I never got a chance to tell you but you looked great on Sat!! Now if you could send your motivation over my way.....seriously lacking in our house, even though I am so unhappy with myself.

    @Smurfette: Thanks I am 15 months pp though . . . I didn't get any motivation until at least 10 months pp (after she started sleeping better at night!) . . . So try to cut yourself some slack. I mean, you *only* solo parent during the week AND work full time . . . !

    I am just trying to not focus on anything negative . . . I celebrate the good choices, and just try to make more good choices than bad.

    @MsLipGloss: Thanks for making me feel better. I know I need to cut myself some slack but it is so hard. I just want to fit into my clothes again.
    My goal for this week is to be better with my meals and no carbs at night. And to try and avoid the mounds of chocolate covered pretzels. I need to wrap them up tonight so I am not tempted!

    @MsLipGloss: Congrats on the 6 lbs weight loss. Today was my weigh in day, I lost .6 lbs. Of course, I do Starbucks and Chick Fil A today, so I'm almost out of points at 1:30p.m. I'm almost down to 190 lbs at 191.4 today. Stupid holidays are making weight loss slow and full of temptations. Pretty much since November, it's been a slow pound here and there to weight loss.

    @cascademom: You are making progress - please don't be discouraged! And I would take a 0.6 over a 0.0 anyday! Sure, bigger numbers are better for stick-to-it-ness for sure, but no matter what, YOU HAVE COME SUCH A LONG WAY! Don't just focus on the 0.6, remember ALL of the hard work that has brought you to where you are now!

    @cascademom: you are doing awesome, I wish I had your motivation and perseverance! the holidays are so hard, so ANY weight loss during these months is amazing in my opinion!

    I am practically on an all sugar diet at this point Need to find my motivation!!

    @MsLipGloss: @cmomma17: Thanks for the encouragement. The sugar during Christmas is so tempting. I bought Lucky Charms yesterday. It's been one of my little splurges this week. While at my inlaws, I really have to exercise lots of willpower especially since I'm closing in on 190.

    0.6 is totally better than nothing! Keep focusing on your goal!! Nothing can get in your way, you're unstoppable

    I am on a no-junk (candies, cookies, sweet crap, basically) until Christmas Eve goal. I was finding those temptations the hardest to pass up, so I took them completely away and can have something on Christmas Eve and Christmas I had a lick of my beaters last night while making a cake for our daycare lady, but that's it. I also bought some calipers and got my body fat measured correctly. FINALLY. It feels good to have measurable accountability.

    @cmomma17, it's so hard! i just read a chapter in a book about goal setting and basically mental stuff regarding that....and so far, it's helping! I'm trying to reprogram my subconscious, lol. Sounds so cheesy.

  15. cascademom

    coconut / 8861 posts

    @blackbird: I agree on the willpower. As long as I don't do anymore candy or things like biscuits until the New Year, it'll definitely help keep the pounds coming off.

    Everyone sounds like they are doing great! I didn't wash my face for 3 days when my DS had croup but I gave myself a pass since I didn't wear any makeup for those days anyway, with taking sick days. I'm still doing green smoothie everyday. And as for my candy problem... Well lets just say there are two giant gingerbread houses covered in candy in my dining room right now. And I may be slowly chipping away at them. Darn you Christmas goodies!

    I have been trying to get my T25 workouts done in the morning . . . the first morning I worked out at 5 and was good to go. The next morning, LO woke up at 4:23, so she beat me to the punch. This morning, I got about 15 minutes into the workout when she woke up (at 5:30). *augh* So my plan is to re-do it tonight . . . DH will be at a holiday party anyway, so, I can do what I want!

    @T-Mom: You totally get a pass! And yay for green smoothies!

    @cmomma17: When you're ready to start backing of the sugar, then you're ready and you will . . . if you're not quite ready, try to not go completely overboard, but ENJOY what you are eating! I find that when I let go of the guilt, I feel a little less *compelled* to eat more of whatever it is that I am craving. But don't beat yourself up if you're not *ready* . . . it's totally okay to take some *time off*!

  19. MsLipGloss

    GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts

    @Smurfette: So far, it's pretty good! It is a serious of dvds/workouts . . . there is a calendar that tells you in what order to do them. It's 25 minutes, and you work as hard as you want to/can during that time. And then, just when you want it to be over, it is!

  20. T-Mom

    honeydew / 7488 posts

    @MsLipGloss: it's almost like your LO doesn't want you to work out, haha! How do they know!!

  21. MsLipGloss

    @T-Mom: Exactly! Guess I am just going to have to try to find the energy after she goes down at night . . . *sigh*

    Does anyone want to do a dietbet? I need some motivation in the new year to find time, weather it's after work or after he's in bed.

    I'm officially in the 180's, 189.9 to be exact. I managed to lose weight while at the inlaws. Tonight when I have a chance, I'll tell you about my MIL's fictitious weight loss. I ate like crap but must have balanced it out okay within that time.

    @jetsa: what's a dietbet? is it real money? if so, I'm too poor
    I need motivation and have the same struggles as you. A new thread for the new year perhaps?

    I'm officially in the 140s for weight - barely, but I'm there! I've lost 8 pounds so far on WW. Working out is hit or miss because DS is teething and up every 45 minutes (SHOOT. ME.), but I can easily control what I eat. My goal is 125 by mid-May, but if I hang on to an additional 5-10 while bf, then so be it. I am well on my way to feeling much more like myself.

    @grizz: Congrats!!! I love WW.

    @MsLipGloss: Thanks. I was so surprised when I stepped on the scale. I ate so badly there, but knew my limitations. My mom was asking me about continuing once I get to goal weight. I told her that I'm going to focus on getting to goal weight and then look to the next goal. Hitting the 180's months ago felt like a dream. Now that it's here, I still can't believe it but love what WW has done for me.

    @grizz: Go you - that is so awesome! I, too, recently re-entered the 140's and just.can't.wait. to get back into the 130's. Once I hit the 140's, I suddenly felt like it was possible to get back to being *me*.

    @cascademom: @grizz: There are some accomplishments that are such a breath of (much needed) fresh air for your mental status . . . and for me, it came at a time when I needed it the most! The rest of my planet may have been under water, but this was one patch of dry land that I could plant my feet in.

    So, I'm zombie reviving an old thread. I'm about 1 pound away from my goal weight of 180 lbs. It's been almost a year journey to lose the weight. The number itself felt so far off, but I can't believe that it's almost here. I'm almost a good 20 lbs lighter than when I got pregnant with LO in late 2011. (had the number wrong). I got pregnant at 198 lbs, then lost some in the first trimester, but gained it back. I've also lost those additional lbs from breastfeeding, stress, etc. I still want to lose more after I hit goal weight. I love WW and what it's done for me.

    NICE JOB!!!! Except for the lb loss from stress, lol.

    Keep up the good work

    I also hit my goals. I'm currently splitting the difference between my wedding weight and my pre-pregnancy weight

    @Blackbird: CONGRATS to you too!

  36. cascademom

    @blackbird: Thanks! Actually, the weight gain was from stress, work, pumping. I gained during that point. Weight loss was after all of that bs. Also, super congrats!!

    @MsLipGloss: Thanks! I'm so close. Just a pound or so to go. Next week, I'll hopefully be buying my goal weight purse. DH has been awesome during my WW experience.

    Thanks!

    @cascademom, oh crap i missed that! i just assumed bf+stress=loss. Glad you got it off, though!

    I'm buying myself a goal weight purse next week, too! Woot woot! I started at 179 and at 169 (27.9% body fat to 22.7% for reference), I said I'd treat myself. I think I can manage the last pound in a week
