My eyes are tearing. This heartburn means business today. I couldn't even eat lunch because it is so bad and I have totally lost my appetite anyway. Yikes! Need to go scarf down some Tums when I get home from work.

Aww I know how you feel. I bought mini packs of tums and carried them in my handbag. Do you have a pharmacy near you? That way you dont have to wait til you get home

I've already eaten 8 today...I just keep a bottle in my purse and then another one at home so I'm never without them!

@highwire: have you asked your doctor about Zantac? Mine told me to switch from Tums (which did nothing for me) to that and it did miracles in the beginning.

My doctor also had me switch to Zantac when Tums and Pepcid didn't help at all.

I carried a box of tums in my purse at all times.

I just switched to Zantac too! It's so much easier than popping Tums all day

I had to quit taking Tums because they weren't doing anything for me! I went to the pharmacy and asked for whatever the strongest OTC heartburn medication was and they hooked it up! It was great during my 2nd tri, but now my heartburn/reflux is bad and just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, it totally has!
