For those that have home dopplers, when did you first hear the heartbeat?

I heard it at 10 weeks

9 weeks. I want to say I was 9w and a few days but I'm not certain.

My midwife said she couldn't consistently find it before 10 weeks, so I'd assume anything before that would be the same or worse at home.

@Torchwood: my doppler was the same as my OBs.
That's just an FYI for anyone wondering if the Sonoline B types were good or not. My OB recommended it and used it on me and other patients everyday. -
@CupQuakeWalk: That's good to know. Though I still think lack of experience finding it would be a factor.

I was close to 10 weeks.
@CupQuakeWalk: My OB is young and into gadgets and uses the Sonoline B type too. It never takes him more than a second to find the HB! I noticed today that he has a technique...first he checks the fundal height and uses that to guess.

@CupQuakeWalk: @spaniellove: I have the sonoline b but at around 9 weeks, we still haven't found it. I remember finding it at like 9 weeks and change for twins.
sigh.

9 weeks and a few days for both! I knew that it could be hard to find it that earlier though and always told myself not to freak out unless I still couldn't find it by 12 weeks.

Ob found it at 9w6d and I tried and found it myself a couple days later.

9 weeks but I did research on how to find a HB first

@tequiero21: give it a few more days! And remember to search low towards the pubic line.
