Hi lovelies
We are still hanging in here! Had some scary nights with contractions and soo much discharge, but meds have controlled them for now.
The plan is a scan to check my cervix next week (probably Tuesday or Wednesday) - if it had remained stable or only shrunk marginally, we stay here on continued hospital rest. If the cervix has opened or dilated further, I will be transferred to the public hospital to be safe. This private hospital prefers 34+ week deliveries for special care, so anything under that isn't ideal.
But one day at a time, right?
The hardest thing is not always anticipating that every twinge or pain or gross body thing means that I'm going to pop a baby out in the shower. I know, I know, so paranoid.
I managed a sneaky post shower bathroom snapshot to celebrate #30weeks before getting back to my regularly scheduled bedrest. Please keep baking, baby girl. I want a few more bump shops with you! ️

@jaguar: So glad to see this update! You look great and that is totally awesome that you made it to 30 weeks.
I felt that way too about every body twinge and discharge gush meant baby was coming out. It is hard just the unknown of it all. I was scared to even move around and sit up.
Keep baking baby!

Oh thanks you guys. I haven't dried my hair in days so you've made me smile.
@tiramisu: yes!! I seriously can't help but pee every five seconds and expect the worst. Too much time on my hands to think and prepare. x

@jaguar: I went on bedrest at 30 weeks (modified at home, not as scary as yours!) and binge watched the entire Friends series baby girl hung in there until 38.5! She just wanted to keep me on my toes I think Glad your little one is still cooking! You look great!

@Mrs. Lion: I asked hubby to bring in one of my tv series on dvd - he picked ER. not sure how appropriate that is for watching in hospital! Haha

@jaguar: Seems like a perfect choice you can ask the nurses how realistic it is

Not really many updates from me (just saw OB now)
Still staying on bed rest, goal is still 32 weeks (12 days to go!) and I will have a cervix scan Thursday to see where we are at, plus a cervix + growth next week if still holding on.
If it dilates at further at all, I stay in here. If it stays stable at 32, I may be able to do home bed rest. All just depends. Just desperate to get to that magical number at this point!

Thanks guys. Today makes for exactly one week of bedrest. Have had a few scary moments but hanging in there.
Having a yucky side effect to the nifediprine drugs though - night sweats and headaches and insomnia. It's 1.40am and I'm wide awake feeling gross and over analysing every little symptom.
One day at a time...

@jaguar: I was about to post a newborn pic of DS and say hey this is what a 30 weeker looks like, you're doing great!, but then I thought a pic of a NICU baby might not feel encouraging and supportive and I chickened out. But, you're doing great!

@jaguar: Do you have people to come visit you and keep you company? I imagine your husband has to be busy taking care of your girl at home. But hopefully you have some friends to come and make you laugh!

@jaguar: good job momma. Reading any good books to keep your mind busy? What season of ERIC are you up to?

@MrsSRS: No, I love pics! It helps make things more realistic. I know my growth scan last week estimated weight at 1.4kg but I can't imagine how small that is. Georgia was early but 3.5kg at birth, so she was the chunkiest baby in special care!
@agold: hubby brings G in once a day which is awesome. And I've had a visitor maybe every other day which has been so so good!!!
@meadow: season 4 now. I've managed two books this past week as well, plus countless hours of random googling, hehe.

@jaguar: oh good. I love pics too, but I think some people find them disconcerting. This is at about 1.7kg
ETA: this was 3 years ago. Now he's 40lbs!

@jaguar: how is G doing with you in the hospital? I am glad you are getting to see her daily. I hope your littlest lady is cooling it off and you will be able to go home to resume bed rest there.
@MrsSRS: oh my too cute!!
