@MrsYellowJacket: @Mrs. Pickle: I'm thinking I'll start a Birth in progress thread when the induction officially starts??? Is that when that is done? I have no idea.

Thank you everyone!!! I just had the nurse tell me step by step what to expect from the time I'm induced to the time I'm back in my room for recovery. Definitely more nervous than excited at this point. I don't know how I'm supposed to get any sleep tonight. Maybe I'll ask for a sleeping pill.

@bluestriped bee: It's normal to feel nervous! It's sort of the double edged sword of induction - too much time to concentrate on what's going to happen! I hope you can get some rest tonight!

@bluestriped bee: Good luck! A "double vaginal delivery" sounds pretty sci-fi, but I hope you get it! Best wishes for a smooth ride into this next chapter. I'm so happy for you!

@bluestriped bee: thinking of you, your hubby, and your two babies! Can you believe you're about to be a mom of two?! (Eta well you know what I mean two "outside" babies!)

I got really emotional as I read your last 2 updates; maybe bc of the twin thing or the realization and your explanations of everything that can happen! Ah. Anyway, you will be in my thoughts and prayers the next two days. Prayers for a healthy delivery for the babes and safe delivery for you. Best of luck!

@Kelli_Deluxe: Sorry, I have a horrible memory and wanted to document my thought process and also explain to others how having twins complicates things. I'm also a scientist so I like details. I hope I didn't scare you.
So update, my dr came in just now and she said she talked the the high risk dr (MFM) and they think the girl's size was underestimated. So they think she might be bigger. So now the difference in size between the two babies might be smaller. So breech extraction is back on the table. Oh, she spoke to the dr on call tomorrow (Friday) and Sunday and she is comfortable with doing the breech extraction. So right now both dr's on call this weekend are comfortable with the procedure. So my chances of two vaginal births is possible.
ETA: so since the breech extraction is a possibility, I did ask my dr about implications for future pregnancies. She said if I need my cervix cut, that I may have have a risk of an incompatent cervix. In that case, they'll monitor my cervix if I'm pregnant again and might have to use a cerclage to keep my cervix intact.
Oh, I asked if I have a risk of have PPROM in the future. She said that there is a medication (a shot called H something with letters and numbers) that will be given at 17-18 weeks that has been proven to help prevent preterm labor. So I'll most likely need that shot in a future pregnancy.
I did ask about the cervix shortening that I had at 18-20 weeks. I asked if that could be a predictor on why I had the PPROM. She said it's hard to tell. She said the research out there shows how a singleton pregnancy affects cervix shortening. There isn't much research on how twin pregnancies affects cervical shortening.
Oh, something really random that I haven't mentioned is that my GD test a long time ago showed I did not have GD. Also, my GBS screen done a few days ago came back negative as well.

@bluestriped bee: the very first delivery I watched as a third year medical student was a successful twin vaginal delivery - it was amazing! Good luck and snuggle those LOs for us soon!

@MenagerieMama: reading your comment reminded me of the class of students that watched my twin delivery. I figured, "why not, come one, come all." Between the students and the team of people in the OR, it was quite the spectacle.
