In the $100,000 - $110,000 range in my zip code you have a choice between two "cash/rehab" homes, a small very basic town home, or a 2004 double wide in a park.
$205,000 will get you a 1600 sq ft. cookie cutter home in an "ok" neighborhood built in 1997. There's a very nice short sale listed but it will likely sell for closer to $260k (bait & switch price)
$400,000 - Nothing, not in my zipcode or the next town over! There are four at $435,000 and up. I'm including a photo of a turn of the century bed & breakfast up for sale in the center of town, it's been completely remodeled. Everything in the price range is on 15+ acres.
