What do you give as housewarming gifts when close friends buy a new home? In this case, it's a single family home with about 1/4 acre lot.

Agree on a home depot GC (or whatever local hardware store you think would be most convenient)
If not that, we usually give booze. We still have a ton left over from our wedding, so it goes with just about any gift!

We give Home Depot gift cards. I swear even thought we bought a brand new house this place has nickle and dimed us since we bought it!
