HLK's thread about buying clothes for your LO this fall/winter made me wonder. Some people can get away with buying so little because there isn't much weather change...
Where I live we have pretty hot summers so its definitely shorts/tank season from June-August. September-October is gorgeous- usually upper 50's to 70's.
But once November hits we're in for it. We usually get our first snow sometime in October and it never gets above 30-40 degrees from oct-April. January is our worst month- it snows alllll the time and its bitterly cold, often hitting negative temps of about -20 F. So when we buy for winter that includes high quality snow boots, coats, layering clothes, and accessories like hats and mittens.
i'm in MA, we usually have snow from late december to the end of february, but we've had snow as early as october and as late as april, ya just never know, we've also had april temps in the 90s! temps don't dip as low as yours either, it's generally below freezing dec-feb, but we don't usually see temps far below 0, but the wind chill can bring it way down so it certainly feels cold enough!
