I'm only 7wks1 and starting to get very nauseous and so tiredi want to cry at 3pm. How on earth do I get through another 5 weeks of this? I haven't thrown up yet, but been very close when chatting at lunch if I'd ran out everyone would know!

Poor thing. Don't really have much suggestion, just sympathy.
I have one co-worker that I worked so closely with that I couldn't have covered it up from her. We basically tag team call outs, so she really helped me cover it up and let me hide in my office essentially by taking on double the amount of work when I didn't feel well.

No real suggestions, but hugs to you! Hope it lets up really soon.

No advice because I told everyone at 8 weeks. And actually my coworker that I share an office with figured it out at around 6 weeks.

I tried to wait until 12 weeks as well but I was so sick I ended up telling at 7 weeks. By then it seems most people had already suspected.

I had terrible nausea from 6w-12w and also was dead tired by 3pm every day. What helped me most was whenever I was feeling a lull I got up to do a lap around the office to refill my water bottle and breathe deeply. I also kept little snacks at my desk to help ward off the nausea (mostly crackers and such) and wasn't afraid to step outside for some fresh air. When I finally told work at 15 weeks I guess it worked because no one suspected! I

I'm sorry it's so bad! I used to go to the bathroom a lot where I could just close my eyes for a minute (also helped to get up and walk there). many people start to feel better by 10 weeks (at least start to improve) so maybe you're almost there!

Peppermint hand sanitizer helped me with smells issue. I was 7 weeks when we had an all day meeting and the admin ordered broccoli cheese soup for lunch. I thought I was going to die. I kept using the sanitizer every 5 min so I wouldn't run out of the room gagging.

I broke down at 8 weeks and told because 1) the girls had already figured it out & I knew it 2) my boss's office is right by where I would be practically running to the bathroom to get sick, I felt the need to loop him in on why I was so pale/sick/ect.
There wasn't really an option to hide it with how miserable I was in the beginning of my pregnancy.

@stine_ciro: haha I love your story about the soup. I have taken to telling everyone I'm snowed under at the moment and going for lunch later than everyone so I'm alone. Last week someone sat next to me and ate a tuna sandwich...my life flashed before my eyes.

I think it's okay if they found out or you told them early... If they're good coworkers they'll try to keep it quiet for you and help you out!

I told everyone at 8 weeks. We had a going away party for a coworker and I didn't do a shot with her. She knew right away and the secret was out!

I ended up telling my desk-mate at about 8 weeks, because I was getting sick and feeling completely exhausted all the time. It was particularly awful some days, because a co-worker constantly brought curry for lunch. I couldn't handle the smells, and often went out to my car to eat.

I keep a cooler tote behind my desk with ginger ale, cheese sticks, and boost/ensure. I need to eat constantly to keep the nausea at bay. When I do go to lunch I'm not completely empty and it helps with all the lunch room smells. Twice I really wasn't feeling good at lunch and said I had to go make phone calls. It's still tough. It helps if you have a buddy you can confide in.

I told one of my coworkers but I was on struggle street! I was sure that people would pick up on it because as a teacher I had so much less energy to be active with my class. I stopped going to the staff room during lunch breaks and on more than one occasion actually took a nap under my desk. It was rough though - no denying it. I even did a conference at 9 weeks and napped in my car during a couple of the breaks.

@stine_ciro: Brocolli... yuck.
At 7 weeks pregnant, I'd already committed to joining my coworkers at our annual caroling sessions at a few retirement homes. They keep those places at like 10,000 degrees and smell like bad hospital food... pureed. I was sure I'd be decking the halls with vomit.

I'm not much help because I had to tell work at 5 weeks. I was bleeding and in a lot of pain and had to be sent to the ER to make sure the pregnancy wasn't ectopic. But if you're really miserable and you don't want anyone to know, would you be comfortable asking your doctor for Zofran? It was the only thing that kept me functional!

I'm so sorry you're struggling with this - it is the pits!!
I also told my boss and my two colleagues that I work very closely with (all men) at 8.5 weeks as my nausea got more severe with every passing week to the point I was vomiting several times a day and the nausea in between was insanely debilitating (like I couldn't see straight and wanted to die). I was coming in late and my productivity had dropped a ton from my usual workaholic self--I was so relieved to tell them and they have been so supportive and have of course told no one else at our company. I'm also glad I told them because my nausea just got worse until it plateaued at 11 weeks. I'm 13 weeks now and have been taking Diclegis for the past 2 weeks (got an rx for that from my doctor who was concerned by my weight loss as I was very thin to begin the pregnancy) which has helped control the worst of the daytime nausea and has limited my vomiting to only once a week or so, in the evenings. So that has helped me function at work for sure--talk to your doctor about it. Zofran is another option though my doc warned that constipation is typical with that (and my sister confirmed it was no joke), so I have stuck with Diclegis as it works well enough for me to function and I couldn't handle constipation on top of my terrible bloat that I'm already dealing with!
Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

One of my coworkers spilled her pregnancy to me so I reciprocated (we're due 4 days apart and our boss will freak when she finds out!)
It has been really helpful to have one buddy to confide in, share snacks with and cover for each other.
One thing that has helped me is preggie pops. Basically I'm eating every 2 hours, and when I'm not eating, I have one in my mouth! It's a distraction. I also get up for a 10 minute walk around 2:30pm (I have the same exhaustion time) and it really helps to get a baby second wind. I have been trying to rest in my car or under my desk during my lunch break (if that is hard - say you're running errands. I also drink raspberry leaf tea and pretend it has caffeine to give me an afternoon boost, even though it doesn't.
I know it's so tough - you feel awful and it's' a big secret to keep. Lots of us are right there with you! Are you due Sept or Oct? I'm 8w2d today

@LatteLove: I'm due 1st October so I could go either sep or oct I guess! Ill have a look at preggie pops, Im also going to switch my vitamins to the evening. I hear that helps too

I totally told my bosses right away and one coworker next door bc she was suspicious but asked them to keep it a secret because of MC issues. I told them I wanted them to know bc I was horrendously sick, not lazy, and bc if I MCed I would just like not be at work for a while. It totally worked in my favor - my bosses have been SO nice to me and so supportive. I wouldn't say I've gotten LESS work or anything, but they've been keeping an eye on the stress/difficulty of the work being assigned to me so I don't lose it.
