My sister and BIL and his brother and SIL are friends
so his brother hooked us up. I had no interest at first. Then he had no interest. Then we both apparently got our interest back because we are married with a baby.

I didn't know how to vote! We met online but NOT looking to find dates... I just creeped him on myspace!!!! I sent him a chuck norris joke because I found him while searching for a friend and thought he was cute. He almost deleted me as spam, haha!

Hmm...well, through friends. I was sharing a house with J, his BFF from Junior High and J's GF. I had heard all about their friend D for a year before I actually met him (lots of funny stories about him). DH had been recently dumped by his long-term GF and decided to move to Philly...where we had a spare bedroom. History.
We also ended up working at the same place (ironically the same start date, same end date) but we were both recommended to our boss by J's GF A, who also worked there.

We grew up together, went to the same schools, and eventually started dating at the end of junior year of high school. He's actually sitting directly behind me in our preschool class picture!

I really don't think either of us have been to a bar since, not bar-go'ers but strangers things have happened I guess. We were both 4 hours away from home, too. The moment I saw him (and he says this of me) I knew I had to talk to him, we screamed in each others ears standing off to the side of the bar all night, first date a week later, and the rest is history.

I met my husband through friends playing an online video game. We were super awesome and geeky. It's a great story.

i didn't vote- i was looking for a housekeeper and someone sent a free personal trainer session offer in reply to the ad, i figured why not! i worked out obsessively with the trainer for a while (was living with someone at the time), then decided i wanted to be alone, kicked BF out, went all independent woman, and slept with my trainer.... then i married him. independent woman fail, wife success! haha.

We met when I moved to New York! I'm not sure what to vote because it was both happenstance and kinda through friends... It was a group of people I had just met and was hanging out with.

We met through a friend (my hs friend went to college with him), but the night we first met we all went to a Ludacris concert, so we like to joke that that's how we met. I was tempted to send Ludacris a wedding invitation bahaha.

His BFF and my BFF used to work together. They set us up without it being a total set up. His BFF threw a party, she was in charge of getting me there. Then we started talking before we knew each other were the ones we were supposed to meet.

It was a series of unfortunate events that led me to dh. I was living and working in Bolivia, but had to leave suddenly because of political shenanigans. Rather than return to the US, I took a transfer to Ecuador. After a few months there I went on a beach vacation. While on said vacation, my hostel burned down, along with all my belongings (Including passport, wallet, money, bank cards, return bus ticket...you get the picture)...womp womp. When I finally made it back to my town I went to buy a few things at the corner market. The owner was super friendly and said I looked a bit frazzled so I told her the whole story. She felt bad for me and invited me over to play basketball and have lunch with her family the following weekend. Turns out that dh is her younger brother...and we've been pretty inseperable since

@MsLipGloss: Counterstrike! I'm really dating myself here. He went to a nearby college, and played often. I had started working tech support at my school, and made friends with someone who ran a CS server. Brad played on that server, so we all met.

My DH and I grew up in the same neighborhood. I walked my dog Muffin past his house. But we ran in very different social circles. He says he liked me in high school, but I think he's just being sweet. First semester of sophomore year in college, my childhood best friend begged me to go on a quickie trip to Las Vegas because a guy she liked was out there. (That kind of trip was very out of character for both of us.) I wouldn't agree to drive just us two girls out there. So the best of friend of the guy she liked (my future DH) agreed to drive out there with us. Well... The four of us were inseparable ever since. She married her guy a couple years later. And I married my DH exactly ten years to the date of that night in Vegas!

DH and I met when we were twelve. My parents joined the same aid organization that his parents worked for and we were all going to be working in the same country, so we met up to get to know each other.
I couldn't stand him, and he had a huge crush on me. And then I started liking him and he didn't like me. And then he started liking me again when we were 17.
Started dating at 18, engaged at 19, married at 20, pregnant at 21, baby at 22. Oh, and now we work for that same aid organization our parents worked for.

he moved to the other side of the world on a whim, and the chance that maybe in the next few months a friend of his might be able to get him a job, at the same time i was deciding that i would go back to college (after dropping out for a semester and moving away) and breaking up with my current BF so i could move back for college.
we met at a church activity, where I apparently gave his friend a high five, and totally ignored DH. wife win!!
