Not pregnant yet, but bored! I'm trying to decide how I'll tell DH I'm pregnant again, I would love the help of LO. Don't want to do a shirt since that's what my sister just did to tell the family. What did you do to tell SO you were pregnant again?

Mine was similar to @autumnlove. But I texted him a picture of a test with "WTF, do you see what I see?" I was in denial because we were just about to start fertility treatments and I was convinced we were out that month.

we got a surprise BFP with #2, he didn't know I tested. I walked over to him with the stick in my hand and started crying and said 'I know why I've been so miserable' haha

You guys are cracking me up, the WTF was how I announced #1 since it happened since it happened so quick...wanted to be cuter with #2!

I've been thinking about this recently too!! We want to TTC soon so I've been mulling over ideas since I'm so uncreative. I wanted to do something cute to announce when I was pregnant the first time, but that went out the door the moment I saw the BFP on the HPT. Ha! So this time..... going to try and stick to my guns and do a cute announcement.

Sadly, nothing too happy or exciting!
I had just been laid off the week before, and thought I had started my period so we were relieved that we were out that month, and were going to put it on hold for another couple months. We were visiting my parents, and I had a suspicion, so I snuck out to get a test and tested the next morning (Christmas Eve!). I had to crawl into bed and have a hushed whisper conversation about since my parents were in the room right next to us! Super awkward and stressful...

ask him to check what you're cooking in the oven to make sure it's okay while you pretend to do something busy with your LO .. then leave a picture of the 8 week ultrasound or your BFP test in there with a note saying ... "bun in the oven is not done cooking, check back on ____"

@aegie: You waited four weeks to tell him?!
I found out for sure on our anniversary so instead of giving him a romantic card I gave him one that was a picture of ThingOne and ThingTwo along with a pregnancy test and a sappy note about becoming a family of four on our fourth anniversary.

I did the shirt thing. I got B a shirt that said, 'I'm the big sister.' I got it a few months ago as they're hard to find and then just put it away for when the time came. I took the test at like 430 am after I fed B. Then I went and put her in her shirt and woke up Dh and told him that B wanted to show him something. He was super annoyed ( he was up late haha. ) and wouldn't look at her. Then I got my iphone flash light out and was shining it on the shirt. He got even more annoyed, and then started to look her in mouth. ( He thought maybe she got her first tooth. ) I told him to look lower and then he was like, "oh, you're pregnant?" haha. He fell back asleep like 2 mins later then woke up and was like, I guess we have to make the guest room a nursery? hahah, when he woke up for the day he was like, why do you keep telling me you're pregnant at like 430 in the morning! ( I told him the same time with B ) haha. Oh well.

@oliviaoblivia: no way, I used the pregnancy test. I couldn't wait that long ... although it would have been nice to do it with the ultrasound picture.
my husband didn't quite get it for a split second ... he was like .. hon, why is there a pregnancy pee stick in the oven? Do I touch it? Hahaha

LOL. Well our son was only 6 months old and it was a huge surprise so I kind of just pulled him into our room (FIL and BIL were staying with us at the time) and told him!

I made him a card and signed it from the new baby. I guess he didn't get what I was saying because he just said 'oh that's nice' and started talking about something again. So after he finished his story I had to tell him to read the card again and look more carefully at what was inside. Then he got really excited once he put everything together.

I tested that morning, crawled back into bed then as we were going through our schedule for that day I just slipped in, 'oh, and I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant.'
His awesome response... 'You're shitting me right?' Lol!

I asked him to get the baby some ice cream. He looked at me like a crazy person, since our son was not even a year old and had never tried ice cream, and I said, "No, not that baby, this one." And pointed to my stomach.

I told him I thought I was pregnant because I had been feeling sick. He told me he thought he had a stomach bug too and I was being silly.
He went downstairs to finish painting the basement. I waited until LO was asleep and POAS.
Walked into the basement room crying and holding the stick. He smiled and laughed and then asked if he could finish painting the room first before we talked about it.

I just gave DH some shirts with "Big Brother" on them, but if the boys had been older, I think it would have been so cute to play the "Where's mommy's eyes?" Where's mommy's nose?" etc. and then throw in "Where's the new baby?" and have LO point to your stomach. Granted this requires (1) getting said LO to quickly be trained to "where's the baby" and (2) assumes cooperation of a toddler, which one should never assume.

I bought DD a shirt that said "I'm the best big sister" and put the positive test in a little gift bag. When DH walked in from work DD ran up to him and have him his present. It was cute

I handed him the pee stick and said, "so there's this." We were excited but kinda scared since we knew what we were getting into again.

Every night I hand DH the video monitor and say "say goodnight to the baby!" This time I handed him the pregnancy test instead. He didn't even know I had POAS so he was pretty surprised
