I always plan on something clever, but I can't keep a secret so I blab. This time I called my DH while he was biking to work because we had 2 negative tests but had a feeling that we were pregnant. He almost fell off his bike.
So how did you tell?

I took him to the spot where he proposed to me, got down on one knee, and asked him to be a daddy. Then I popped open a jewelry case to reveal a positive pregnancy test.

Well, for LO it was kinda just like, "Shit, it's positive...now what?" lol. Now that I have major babeh feva and we're currently NTNP, I've been thinking of ways to tell him if the time ever comes again. I saw this and pinterest and was like YES THAT. Were huuuge chinese food fanatics, so I found a website you can order this make your own fortune cookie. Then I would sneak it into his take out.

I ran into the living room like a damn fool screaming that I thought there was a second line.

With DD1 I left a Fathers Day card by the bathroom sink with the due date so that he would find it when he woke up in the morning. With DD2 I put a big sister shirt on DD1 so he saw it as soon as he got home from work. His reaction was priceless both times!

@Arden: that was cute
@ZombieBullfrogHoller: I like that but DH isn't into Chinese much but that's cute too. Hope you get to use it soon.
@lawbee11: lol
@SnowLion: I pretty much did the same thing the first time I called him at work because I was in shock but it ended in mc at 7 weeks then 6 weeks later I got another positive and that morning before he went to work I told him I didn't think we were pregnant again that month but to my surprise when I woke back up I took a test and it was positive again so I called DH at work and screamed it into the phone lol we were both excited. But I think since we plan on trying again next year I might do something with DS to announce it to him

I went to the school he works at at lunch time with our daughter, and showed him the new book I'd just bought her. It was called "I'm a big sister!". The look on his face was awesome. Then I whipped out the two pregnancy tests I took that I had brought in ziploc bags, haha.

I was traveling for work and in a time zone 5 hrs ahead... And I was so in shock (thought we had missed fertile days) that I called him ASAP--6:30am for me was 1:30am. On a weekday... I had to call a bunch of times to wake him, he kept ignoring my calls and sending it to vm bc the caller if was weird w the intl call. And the he was all grumpy and not awake. Oops! Not the best way to tell him!

The first time I just gifted him a bib and included a test. This time did a scavenger hunt like the proposal one he did for me.

well lo was a surprise and I took a pg test to rule it out before I had a doctor's appointment that afternoon. The test came out positive (only had one) so I sent dh a message "can you let me know when you've finished work because I might need you to get me something on the way home" dh then was running late so I didn't bother getting him to buy another test. He walked in the door and said "so I took a pregnancy test, it was positive but I think it's fake, so we gotta get the doctor to check". For next lo I'm hoping to get a 'big sister' shirt for lo to wear and see if he notices lol.

Mine was just last thursday, i put a poppy seed in his hand and told him that's how big his baby is right now. He couldn't believe it and now he keeps refering to his little poppy seed.

He came looking for me in the morning what was taking me so long... And I held the HPT under his nose and was like: I think there is two lines... Very romantic!
@MrsStar: This is what we're planning on doing with our parents and siblings It'll be fun to see who notices first...

Found a card with thing 1 and thing2 on it and gave it to him with a test on our anniversary.
With number one I told him over email because he was traveling.

By shoving the FRER in his face as he walked in the door from work screaming, THERE IS A LINE!!!!!!!!
How romantic.......lol

With our first, I needed his opinion on whether or not there was actually a line, so there was no special surprise, just a bit of analysing before he went to work. I took a digi whilst he was at work and gave it to him when he got home without any major fanfare.
With our second, I made him a super cheesy card from our LO, he loved it!

I planned on doing something clever, but when I got my BFP it was so unexpected and I was in such disbelief that all I managed was to wake him up with "Uhm, DH..." "*grumble* what?" "I think the test is positive" "WHAT!?"

@Snowdrop: that's adorable!
With our son I was certain I wasn't pregnant and just covering my bases by checking so we both got tests (in Thailand) and took them together. He prepped the camera to get my reaction shot for the results. The look on my face when I found out was hilarious. I was shocked.
This time I would love to do something really special but we've been at it a while now so I'm not sure ill be able to contain myself. We'll see.

I walked into the room and said "I have something to show you" and passed him the FRER, then he said "Is this a pregnancy test? Have you tested? Are you pregnant?!". Then when I confirmed I was he said "congratulations" and gave me a hug. I think he was in shock, to be honest!

@MrsMccarthy: i remember you posted that pic I was so shocked too but I tested when he was out so had a bit of time to think plus my idea was super simple.

I called my hubby at work on a Friday afternoon and as soon as he answered and we said Hi, he said, "Umm I'm a little busy, can I call you back?" and I said "No!" so of course he wanted to know what was wrong, so I told him and his first words were, "Ohh shit." Keep in mind he said he was ready for kids before I was. Ahahhaa.

I was unskilled at the art of peeing on a stick and took the test at like 3 in the afternoon after having bugged him all morning that I was late so I could be pregnant...I got 2 lines and ran upstairs to ask him if I was reading the test right. He didn't seem excited so I shoved the stick in my brother's face to confirm. It didn't really sink in for home until our first appointment
With number 2 I had already taken a lot of tests and gotten negatives, so when I was over a week late I took one more test before he got home from work...we have a mailbox we put love notes in and I put the test in there. If I had known this would be our last baby I would have tried to be a little more creative
