My husband and I grew up going barefoot at home and have been trying to continue the tradition (especially now that the baby is crawling all over the floor).

I've been trying to figure out a way to accommodate guests, though. Most people seem very willing to take their shoes off when asked (and the pile of shoes near the door is a good hint), but if you were a guest would you like to be offered socks? or slippers of some kind? Or would you rather just wear your own socks or go barefoot and not have your hosts make a big deal about it?

Thanks for any advice!
