@autumnlove: Is this your biological grandmother?

I only have one set of grandparents and I call them Mema (grandma) and Papa (grandfather)

That is kind of awkward... I would be like you and just avoid addressing her! Haha

My grandmother isn't remarried but has a boyfriend. They have been together for over 10 years though (both widowed-not interested in remarrying). I just call him Jim. My younger cousins all call him grandpa. When referring to him to others I refer to him as my grandpa though.

My grandmother has a significant other, I call him Gene, he's a part of our family and I'm okay with my kids calling him grandpa (my nieces do since their real great grandpa pased away before they were born..) They have been together for about 8 years, but never plan to be married out of respect for their passed on spouses.

@rahlyrah: Our situations are very similar! I don't call him grandpa when talking to others, I say my grandma's signifcant other...she hates when we say boyfriend! haha

I've always called my grandmother's husband "Uncle" but they were married when I was really young. I think if they had married when I was adult I would just call him by his first name.

My Grandpa remarried soon after my Grandma passed away. I'm sorry to say but she is not well liked, we call her Marji, when talking about her I call her my Grandpa's wife.

My sister and I call her by her first name. Our cousins who arrived after Grandpa/Wife got married call her Grandma First Name.

i just call my grandmother's boyfriend (that sounds so weird!) by his first name.
