OMG, and it's a guy, too! I would just be very vague and cool with my answers to hopefully get the message across that I wasn't interested in discussing it with him.

I feel like I've seen a lot of these "HOW RUDE" situations come up on recent posts. It bogglees my mind how people just butt their noses into something so personal! Just because I have a bump, doesn't give you the right to say ANYTHING about it!!

Don't have any advice other than to not follow my example. I work with a woman who has absolutely no filter or sense of what's appropriate and what's offensive. Last year she actually put her hand on someone's butt as they were eating and asked them if they really thought they needed that ice cream cone. A few weeks ago she was in the lounge eating the same time I was. I intentionally hadn't told her I was pregnant but I knew she was aware since everyone else knew. She started asking all kinds of overly personal questions which I answered in short, somewhat sarcastic tones that I thought made it clear that I wasn't interested in discussing it with her. But then, she asked me how much weight I had gained and I just couldn't take it anymore and told her I still weighed less than she does so I was doing okay. I feel really bad about it now but didn't at the time because she made me so mad.

I would just flat out tell him, "I'm sorry, but I am not comfortable discussing my pregnancy with you." It *is* confidential medical information, after all. I realize it may be completely awkward, and there is the possibility of ostracizing a new co-worker, but just think of the liberties he will take when you return to work, or possibly with other subjects.
