It's always said that pregnant women pee a lot, but at 13 weeks I haven't noticed any change. I have a friend who at 5 weeks says she is peeing all the time.
What about you?

It wasn't till much later, like 3rd tri, that I needed to pee ALL the time. Like every 30 minutes!

I'm 18.5 weeks, and I pee at least once every 1.5-2 hours during the day, longer at night unless I've had a lot of water in the evening. I think this kid hangs out on my bladder most of the day.

I'm 6.5 weeks, and I noticed a big difference. I teach, so I have to stagger my bathroom breaks around passing time, and I'm going at least two extra times a day.
I also have been waking up twice a night to pee. I'm attributing that to the massive glass of water I drink when I take my prenatal, though.

I'm 25w, and I've only really noticed a difference in my overnight habits. I used to never have to get up in the middle of the night to pee. Now, I haven't slept through the night without getting up to go to the restroom (once, sometimes twice) since I was 6w. During the day I maybe go a little more often than I used to, but I am also forcing myself to drink a lot more water.

I'm 13 weeks along as well, and I usually pee normally during the day. At night is when I have to get up 3-4 times to go to the bathroom. I don't remember it starting this early with my first.

for me, i noticed that i pee a LOT in the first tri, esp at night, and then second tri is like normal (yay sleep!) and third tri is back to the all night peeing and some insomnia.
LO#2 seems to be tracking along the same lines again!

Okay, upon further review I probably go one or two times more per evening. Haven't had any middle of the night trips yet though!

@MrsTiz: I already had an abnormally small bladder, and peeing even MORE often was one of my very first symptoms.
Also, I used to not drink much water (because of the small bladder issue) and so far in my pregnancy I've been hyper vigilant about drinking a lot throughout the day, so I'm sure that's contributing to the pee-all-the-time problem.
Now that I'm in the 3rd trimester, I basically have to go every hour on the hour. Sometimes I can go longer, sometimes I go again after only 30 minutes. Sometimes even just walking sometimes makes me have to pee, which I'm guessing is from the pressure of the baby pushing down on my bladder.
FUN. Luckily, my husband is very patient. Because I'm constantly making him help me find places to pee when we walk anywhere in the city.

i'm 17 weeks i would say i get up at least once a night to pee and i can barely make it home during my evening commute (45-60 min) even if i go right as i leave the office. I have been trying my hardest to drink between 75-100 oz of water a day though so that may be a contributing factor, but water seems to be a cure all to most ailments - constipated... drink more water, headache... drink more water, swelling... drink more water

I'm 23w and I get up 1-3 times per night. every. single. night. The problem is that I don't always have an easy time going back to sleep.

I'm 27 weeks and I've only recently really noticed a difference. Now I get up once a night for sure. During the day I seem to go like... 20 times. Although I do tend to drink a LOT of water.

I'm 28 weeks and I feel like I go all the time. But I've always felt like I had a small bladder, it's just gotten worse. I remember pretty early on I did have to pee more frequently-- it's the hormones, not the actual baby on your bladder, I think. Now almost every time I stand up I feel like I need to go, but I think the baby dances on my bladder sometimes. I am also thirsty all the time so drinking tons of water, which is good, but of course, means more trips to the bathroom. Especially at night, there are times where I'm just tired of pausing the TV, getting up to go, washing my hands AGAIN, and getting settled. And I'm up once or twice a night to pee when I'm sleeping.

I'm 32 weeks and I feel like I go all the time. I wake up 2-3 times at night to go... and during the day I go a ton. I also drink a ridiculous amount of water!

I'm 35 weeks tomorrow, and it depends on if I am mostly sitting (at work) or if I am moving around more (days off) - when I move around more, I tend to get more BH, and it seems like whenever I get contractions I feel like I have to pee really bad because of the pressure down low, and so I am constantly making trips to the toilet just to pee like 1Tbsp, haha. It is quite irritating. I typically get up once in the middle of the night to pee, but sometimes up to 2 or 3 times.

I'm 11 weeks and I pee more than I did pre-pregnancy. It was almost right away that I started having to go in the middle of the night again. I need to go more often during the day but I usually end up holding it longer than I'd like since I have an active 7 month old who feels like giving mommy 2 minutes to pee is unacceptable lol.

I didn't notice any difference, even in the first tri. now, at 28 weeks, I'm not peeing more frequently but when I go its really slow and trickly! Super annoying!

First trimester - had to go all the time and got up at least twice at night.
Second trimester - heaven! Slept through the night and only had to go normally during the day. OB said this was because my uterus is up higher and not pushing down on my bladder.
Currently, I'm 27 weeks and middle of the night bathroom trips have resumed along with some insomnia. OB did warn me this would happen so I'm not looking forward to 3rd trimester insomnia!

I'm 6 weeks and I have to pee very frequently. I get up every night for sure, but only once.

I'm 30w and it's ridiculous how much I pee. I do drink a heckuva lot of liquids throughout the day, but I swear, I'll go to the restroom and come back to my desk and I have to go like 10 mins later. I was up once a night starting in the 2nd tri, and now it's more like 2-3, but I think that's a lot to do with the terrible insomnia I have.

@dreamocracy: seriously, feeling like you have to pee a gallon and then only peeing one tbsp is so disappointing.

34 week and it feels like i pee every time i other minute. i drink water constantly though, so it's not too surprising during the day. at night, i get up at least 2x to pee.

36.5 weeks, and I probably pee 36.5 times a day. Ok kidding, but its seriously bad. @MrsTiz: That's how I figured out I was pregnant! I kept having to pee all the time and I went to the dr thinking I had a bladder infection twice. The beginning of my first tri was actually the worst!

35 and a half weeks and I can't keep track of daily peeing, but it's between 2-3 times a night for sure.
cantaloupe / 6885 posts
I'm almost 21 weeks and peeing ALL THE TIME. I think the baby is sitting really low on my bladder. I took a roadtrip and it was brutal, lol...I peed every chance I got and yet 2 minutes later still felt the need to go again!

Let it be known that I HATE YOU. 1-3 times a night, and at LEAST once an hour. If I have to drive for work (I cover the state of FL and travel sometimes) I literally DO NOT DRINK WATER until I get there so I won't have to stop 3 times. (So unhealthy but it's rare that I travel far, only twice since I got preg.) I'm 17 weeks +1

I have to pee all the time, but I can't complain because this and my stuffy nose are honestly the worst of my pregnancy symptoms and have been since day #1. At first it was the hormones, then I had a brief period where I was a little more 'normal' in the peeing department considering I was drinking a lot more water, but now I do wake up at least twice during the night to pee and it feels super urgent all day long if I just have the tiniest bit in my bladder.
pomelo / 5041 posts
I have a very small bladder to begin with and so right away when I got pregnant I was peeing all of the time. At 20w5d I pee about a regular amount (maybe a little more) during the day but night is where it's the worst. I am up at least 3 times if not 4 and like others have a hard time sleeping because of it. My baby is currently positioned with his head right on my bladder so I think that doesn't help any either. I have also had that instance of feeling like I have to pee (thanks to him) when it's only a small amount.

12 weeks and I pee way more at night now. Last night I got up 4 times to go to the bathroom.

I'm 32 weeks and I pretty much live on the toilet. I have always had a bladder the size of a pea though!
At night, I usually go 3-5 times.

25 weeks and still don't have to pee too often. Only time I notice it is if I'm drinking alot (which I try to do to keep headache/nausea/lightheadedness away).
