I'm anxious to know whether both embryos stuck. Only 11 days to go! When did you find out about your multiples?

Can't remember exact date/week but it was the first ultrasound after IVF, so approx 5 weeks. Good luck!

I can't wait to find out if there are two in there!! I found out at 6 w 6 d, at my first US. I will never forget that moment when my RE said "hmm, well that answers that question" and I opened my eyes (had them squeezed shut) and looked at the screen and said "there are two?" My poor husband had no idea what he was seeing and almost fell off his chair when he realized. Ok now I'm tearing up. Emotions!

At my first doctors appointment. I was by myself and I was supposed to just do a pregnancy test with the nurse practitioner. Since I hadn't had a period in 4 months (stupid PCOS) she tried to find a heart beat but it was hard to hear it clearly so she brought in an ultra sounds and bam.....2 babies. I was about 6 weeks. Then I had to go home and tell my husband. Yikes!!

If I had multiples I would have found at 7w1d, probably (first ultrasound). I had 2 eggs and I was super curious whether both stuck too!

@Leialou: so excited for you to find out!
@twodoghouse: aww
I follow a local designer's blog and she found out at 20 weeks! I'm guessing she had an early dating U/S, skipped the NT scan and went for the anatomy? Surprise!
So cool!

@rachiecakes: My mom also found out at 20 weeks that she was having twins!

@MrsBrewer: my boss at my previous job found out in the delivery room! I guess then (1978) they didn't do as many, if any, ultrasounds. They had a boy and a girl! (His daughter had b/g twins as well, 4 years ago, so she knew! haha)
I have 4 sets of twin cousins!

@Leialou: Wondering what we'll see next Monday! Hope for twins but I'm sure we'll be happy if there is only 1 in there!

@Leialou: Today, I found out we are currently pregnant with twins at 5w4d! How did your u/s go today??

I found out for sure during second u/s. First one at like 5w2d, they weren't sure if they saw two. They said definitely one, maybe possibly two.

Today I found out that there are two. One is measuring 8 weeks at the other 7weeks and 4 days so we are not sure if everything is okay or not but there are definitely two heartbeats. I'm so nervous and anxious.

@plantains: wow!!! That's incredible. I hope all is well with both babies!

@plantains: Wow, congratulations! FWIW, my twins measured a couple days apart in the beginning. We conceived through IVF so knew exactly how old they were, but they did measure different. The smaller caught up within a couple weeks (by 10 weeks I think?) and they always measured on target from there on out. Do you have a follow up US planned? Sending good thoughts for both your little ones!

@coopsmama: thank you so much!
@twodoghouse: that is so encouraging to hear. The us was a very basic one at my OB's office and she said it might just be her equipment not being accurate enough so early. I'm going to an imaging centre on March 2nd for a chorionicity scan so I should know more by then.
@mrs. bird: thank you! I am a mess

Unofficially: I POAS at 4dp5dt and just "knew," because the line was really dark and showed up fast.
A-little-less unofially: my second beta nearly tripled.
Officially: I started bleeding at 5w3d and went in for the ultrasound that confirmed two sacs!
GL!

@plantains: congrats. I know it's overwhelming at first. Just hang in there. One of my twins measured behind and although we had a risky pregnancy I had two healthy little boys at 37 weeks.

@plantains: wow congratulations! Went through that shock at 8 weeks and couldnt say the word twins for a LONG time...just kept saying they found another baby in there! Almost 25 weeks and still tripping out!
one of my twins was almost a week behind the other but caught up and both are measuring right on track.

@Mrs. Train: @BabyMats: thanks, that is reassuring.
I had a follow up u/s today at an imaging centre and one is still 5 days behind but both have strong heartbeats and are growing well. Doc said the difference is pretty normal at this stage. They are di/di so less risk overall.
