DH and I worked for the same company just different locations. I had planned to tell everyone around the 14th week. However when I told DH, he was at work and told everyone that was there. He was super excited. It spread like wild fire through his store and into mine. So our places of work found out around 6wks. WAY to early, but lucky us things worked out.

When talking to women they always understand my reticence, but I know SO doesn't quite get what it means to me to change my status in the workplace, even assuming they will be excited and supportive. I worry about my place there, and perception of me and my abilities, and my career in general. I think a lot of men don't fully grasp this because the birth of a child affects their careers in different ways.
