We are scheduled to move next week to another apartment in our building. The plan was just to move everything bit by bit but since learning I was pregnant, we just decided to pay movers to pack everything, move, and unpack. So I am right there with you! Money well spent!

I just go room by room and pack slowly. Maybe 5 boxes a day. Then take a day to do the big push to pack up the stuff I use all the time. I do have movers actually move though.

Ugh I can't imagine moving now with LO. I was 7 months pregnant last time we moved and we did it all ourselves. It was already a complete nightmare! I hate moving. We'd definitely leave E with one of our moms while we packed.

DH's dad owns a trailer b/c they live in the country and have to haul things regularly and everyone in our families have big cars, so we packed all of our stuff that way! My FIL is also a master at fitting more than you can believe onto a trailer and securing it all down with string and belts.
And luckily people always help us move! We pack the boxes ourselves. We've never had movers before.

We are moving tomorrow and I made a spreadsheet detailing what furniture goes where, it has 33 items on it and not one piece of it is lightweight. That doesn't include over 70 boxes, in attics and a storage unit. No one I know can handle that volume if stuff and move it without destroying it. Movers are the only way I will go.

We hired movers for our move to our new town. They packed everything and then we just had to unpack.
For our move in town it was much easier and we packed everything, had the movers move it and then unpacked ourselves.

We are moving into our house when I will be 36 weeks pregnant. I'm slightly scared.
Luckily we have a lot of family and friends who will help us. I think I will be the supervisor and point to where things go, lol.
I have only one week of work left (I'm a teacher) so I'll spend the summer throwing stuff out/getting things into boxes so hopefully it will be a smooth transition!

I was pregnant when we moved into our house. You just do a little bit each day and plow through at the end. It's not fun, but you do what you gotta do.

I don't know how we did.. but it wasn't too hard because we went from small apartment to our house, and we had all new furniture delivered We did it all in our Jeep!! We left the old furniture there though, and put the mattresses on top of the jeep! haha. It took all day, but we did it! The move was only abut 3 minutes away though

we definitely won't be able to afford movers! I will recruit my family to help
growing up, we moved yearly until we bought a house when I was about 10. so my family has tons of practice, haha!

My parents moved almost every four years, once we moved from Oregon to Alaska, that was the hardest. My Mom is a master packer! When I got divorced and had to move out of our house, my Dad bought a semi-truck trailer and we packed one room at a time, had a couple garage sales, and loaded that puppy full! It made moving into our first house together such a breeze.
Last time we moved I was 34 weeks pregnant and on bedrest. My Mom helped there too, the trick is to pack the unnecessary items first, label each box well and only do one room at a time.
