Is it July yet?

I can tell 2015 needs to be the year of "find a new job after having a baby" I hope I can swing it before becoming too bitter.

Meh. Love the organization, don't like working for it. I've been offered another job, just waiting to have the money conversation and if the money's good I'm leaving this place with sunglasses and a smile.

I returned to work full time (yesterday) only to find out my raise will hardly cover (1/3 and after taxes) the cost of childcare. It's a good raise, but it was one of those promotions with all sorts of extra work and no additional compensation. Womp womp. Dusting off the old resume if the bosses don't come up a bit.

We moved in August and while I was fortunate enough to keep my current job (through telecommuting) my hours were cut from 40 to 30. It was a great help because it has allowed me to help the kids with the transition (moved to a different state). The arrangement was only supposed to be until the end of December but my boss got approval to keep me on until the end of August (or longer if our new grant gets funded) but my hours have been cut to 20. Having both kids (DD is 4 and DS is 2) here while I'm working and not having any adult interaction is really starting to drain me. The organization is also going through some changes which are making me think moving on is best. However struggling with whether I should find another job or just become full time SAHM; the financial hit of the latter is being contemplated by both DH and I right now.

Can't complain, I am extended through this year, so that's a plus in my book.

I really like the company I work for and my co-workers. I am SO sick of the projects that I am working on! I've reached out to HR to see about being moved to another account. I also have a job interview on Thursday, I don't know if it is the right move to make or the right time to make a move, but it can't hurt to feel it out, right?

I have a new manager and he's very corporate and by the book - which is the opposite of the old manager I had for 8 years. It has been a brutal wake up call since I've been stuck in my old ways for a long time. Hopefully the new guy calms down a bit!

Counting down to May! And then October, when I'll be looking to probably make an internal change back into the tech world

Stressing me out majorly lately!! I've had a few days/nights where I can't help but cry about it, but that's probably due in part to the pregnancy hormones... I can't wait for maternity leave! Waiting to see if the leave helps re-ignite my passion for the job or if I'm just getting burned out.

I really like my job. I've been here about 2 months and it's 100 times better than my last job, so I'm not complaining! The kids have their moments, but they're 4 and 5, so ya know. Twice as much pay and now I'm getting benefits, I'll take it!
