You mean our living room? (ha) We actually bought a long storage ottoman and his toys are pretty well contained.

When we had more space, there is an IKEA shelf that is basically perfectly square and it holds most bins very nicely. It holds a ton, too. You can still display some things well out of reach while the lower two rows are very accessible. (Just securely attach it to the wall in case you have a climber.)

Craft area w/ table & chairs (seating for 3 or 4 though to play board games)

Comfy seating in the reading nook like oversize chairs or floor pillows

Bin for dress up clothes or laundry rack to gang them up

Ikea shelves were already mentioned, to organize them though I'd label the bins & take a photo of the contents so cleanup time is easy. I'd give each girl her own bin too for their own specific unshared toys

We use bins, I don't care what goes IN the bin, but the toys have to be off the floor at the end of the night.

We also have a train table, but wouldn't you know, the track is set up on the floor because the table isn't big enough for the construction my son likes to do, so I am trying to think of a solution (which may involve attaching a piece of ply wood to our current train table.

We have a coffee table in the living area that has bins underneath it as well.

We have a pretty large playroom (its really the formal living room)

When you walk in the reading area and bean bag is on the left and the laptop and table is on the right.

We have 2 expedits full of games, toys, etc - I have each one labeled with a picture so they know whats inside.

Against the left wall is DD's doll house and then the train table

Back middle is the trampoline

Back right is for legos, blocks, plastic animals, cars, etc.

Middle right is craft table, art supplies and chairs.
