I think mine are usually 5-10 minutes!

Not counting the 1-2 hours I spent sitting in the waiting room? 4-7 minutes max.... always super fast, in and out like a production line.

Mine are quick as well, I'd say 10 minutes-ish. First I pee in a cup and the nurse does weight and bp, then I join DH in the exam room. Doc comes in, we say hi, he answers any questions we have, he and DH talk about football while I sit on the table, we hear the heartbeat and then say goodbye. Next time is my first cervical check, so I guess it will start taking a little longer!

Yeah 5-10 minutes max. I usually don't have to wait more than 10 minutes though, so at least there's that! I felt like the 2nd tri appointments were the quickest because they didn't really do anything.

I'm usually in and out (waiting included) in 20-30 mins.

I think mine were always around 10 minutes or so, depending on how many questions I had. I loved my OB when we lived in Minnesota too because I never waited in the waiting room for more than a few minutes except the one day that my OB was called out for a delivery (and even then, they offered to me that I could go back sooner if I was okay with a different doctor).

@prettylizy: I've been waiting for 30 mins! Gah!

Mine were always 5-10 minutes each. My longest one was at 24 weeks with the glucose test and getting checked for multiple infections at the time. I always had my knitting with me because I waited longer than my appointments.

Mine are about 30 mins but I'm seeing a midwife so I think it's a little different!

@autumnlove: I don't understand how the timing works on all of this. I'm in there for less than 10 minutes and I show up ON TIME for my appointment, how am I waiting 1.5 hours here folks?
Not like we have jobs or lives to get to or anything right?

@prettylizy: 1.5 hrs? That's crazy. The first time I went to this doc was for my annual last year, and right after they stuck me in an exam room he popped in, said "I have to run across the street to deliver a baby but I'll be right back b/c it's her 4th kid and will be quick! Nice to meet you!" and I kid you not was back in like 20-30 mins.

I'm in the office for less than 15-20 minutes. I've never waited more than 5 minutes, and the appts are usually about 10 minutes.

@tororojo: worst part of all of this, not once was he called out to deliver a baby. They just WAYYYYYY overschedule all the OB's in our area, everyone waits that long

Mine were about 10 minutes in the beginning and then they got longer and longer

@prettylizy: Lame! Sorry to hear it. All my past OBGYNs have been that way so I feel your pain! (except I only needed them for annuals, not on a regular basis so maybe I don't feel your pain)

I'm sitting in the waiting room for mine right now! They usually last about 15 minutes.

I never wait more than five minutes, and my appointments are 30-45 minutes long.
I have a midwife though, so I know that makes a huge difference.

Takes probably 30 mins including waiting time. Check in, pee in a cup, wait for the nurse, then weighs me and takes blood pressure, then off to another waiting room for the doctor. She listens to the heartbeat, measures me and asnswers any questions. Then I schedule my next appointment before I leave. If I have to get blood done that takes longer, cause for some reason those ladies are super slow.
I make my appointments as close to first thing in the morning as I can. Doctor's is by my house and work is 30 mins away, so just easier to go in late, verses leaving work to go in.

My MW generally came to my house, occasionally I went to her office. Visits were usually 45 min to an hour. Since she would come to me or me to her home office, I didn't really have a wait and would just do whatever errands or u/s I needed to do through the day and we'd touch base about a specific time sometime mid-morning.
