How long could you hide your pregnancy? I know it varies a lot on body type, so if you are comfortable, please post that as well.
FYI- I am 5'10, 145 pounds, size 6-8, 34C. How long can I go?

I'm 5'6, 130 lbs, size 7-9, and 34C. I made it to the middle of the 14th week before I really started to show. It's still not really obvious at 18 weeks if I wear baggy clothes or a hoodie. But in regular style form fitting clothes, I'd say it was pretty obvious by week 15, especially to those close to me.

I'm plus sized, and by 12 weeks I was still not showing. I was bloated for sure, but not enough for anyone to tell.

I think you can "hide" it for quite a while (especially from people you aren't close to), if you don't mind people privately thinking you might be pregnant, or just gaining weight. It may not be the case if people in your life are particularly blunt/tactless about stuff like this though.

I was a size 12-14 and I didn't tell work until I was well past my first trimester (I think around 16 weeks?). I was getting bigger but not where anyone could really guess that I was pregnant. I also didn't have any morning sickness so that helped.

I think it really depends on body type and the clothes you wear. I wear a lot of form fitting clothing and had a pooch to begin with. The pooch is now getting a bit obvious if I walk around in just a long sleeved shirt. I'm 10 weeks. Thank goodness for sweaters!!

it's a lot easier in the winter! at 16 weeks with charlie i had a little belly and if i wore form fitting clothes you could tell, but i could easily hide it by wearing a dress. i think it got hard to hide around the 5 month mark.

I am 5'9 and 132 lbs and 14.5 weeks. I see a little bump but I figured it was more my self awareness. My FIL informed me he could tell based on my boobs and my boss said she totally sees a bump. I went up to baggie shirts and thought I was being sly since my mom always said she wasn't showing until 29 weeks, but I guess my body is different.

I'm your size and at 14 weeks 4 days, I am still hiding it no problem. In the past week I have taken my form fitting outfits out of my rotation and adding a wrap-around sweater. I feel like I will be able to hide no problem, with no suspicions, for a couple more weeks. (Only my husband can really see it right now.....even when I tried to 'show' my belly to my family as I told them this weekend they said that there is nothing there).

I am PS, and 15 weeks now, and my co-workers tell me that even if I hadn't shared, they would have figured it out by the time I was 14 weeks, because my body started to change. People who don't know me wouldn't know that I am pregnant though (I think).

I literally was able to hide it from some coworkers until 7 months. It was winter so as Mrs. Bee said - it's a lot easier. I always wore dark colors, leggings, and long cardigans so the people that I was not close with did not notice.

great question! commenting so I'll remember this thread..I'm in a wedding end of March and hoping if I get pregnant before that, that I won't be showing too much! (not to be secretive, but to fit in my dress!)

@sorrycharlie: I imagine you'll be fine. Just be extra careful in talking to your tailor if you're pregnant by early February.

I hid it until 21 weeks, I thought everyone could tell though. I'm petite at 4'11" under 100lbs A cup.
I really really popped at 23 weeks.

@AmeliaBedilia: What's your motivation for hiding it for an extended period of time, you don't have to answer if you don't want to, but I am curious.

@dvsmom: your FIL told you he could tell by your boobs?? If that was my FIL, he would have been smacked!!
I'm with Looch - why would you want to hide it for such a long time? Is it just so people don't ask you questions?

@jbhops- oh my mil was pissed! my FIL has a habit of checking out my boobs. DH is aware, but his dad always gets a pass on being inappropriate for some reason. I just remind myself he is a dirty old man

@jbhops: my BOSS (a man) told me he knew something was up because of my boobs, but then again, his partner was having twins at that time, but still!

Before baby I was 5'6" about 130 lbs, B cup, and I didn't "show" to strangers until about 5 months. I had already gained 25 lbs, so to family and people I was close to, it was very obvious. I gained alot in my face, butts, and a little in my arms, so to strangers it wasn't obvious I was pregnant unless I wore a form fitting shirt to show off the belly lol.

I am built similar to you-and I think I was able to hide it from people who didn't know I was pregnant until around 18-19 weeks. I mostly had a small bump, but with the right clothing, you couldn't tell it was there.

i think up until like week 17, i could wear clothes and no one would notice. now, at 19 weeks, i can sort of cover it up if i wear something really baggy but with tight clothes on, i have a really big belly.

I could hide it pretty much my entire pregnancy. I'm tall and only gained 12 lbs my whole pregnancy. I've got pictures of me at my shower and if you didn't know I was pregnant you wouldn't have been able to tell.

I'm 5'2, was 110 and had a six-pack for abs pre-pregnancy. I have gained like 4 pounds so far (am just over 12 weeks now) but it's all been in my stomach. It might just be bloat at this point, but I can't fit into any normal pants so either need to wear maternity pants or a bella band with longer flowy shirts (which were not previously in my wardrobe).
My family and friends can tell I'm pregnant (and have been able to for a few weeks) but I'm confident that strangers would never guess. Also, I don't think people at work have figured it out. If they have, it's only because my wardrobe style has changed (from more fitted clothing to looser clothing).

I'm 5ft 11, I usually weight about 140, 34A usually a size 0-4. I am currently 18 weeks and no one has really noticed I am pregnant. A couple of ladie at my church have hinted that they know but no one at my job has noticed. i work with mostly guys so i think thats why. I'm barely showing though, I have the teeniest bump that you can only really see from the side.

Great thread! I'm going to want to hide it as long as possible too. Personally I am a private person and just dont care for everyone to know until it is necessary.

Here's an official result:
I just shared my news with a bunch of IRL people today. Some of them told me that this week they suspected I was pregnant.
So, that was at about 14 weeks and 4 days that they saw me and thought I was pregnant. (These are people who have seen me every day for a few years...and went to my wedding over a year ago......but are only seeing me about once a week these days). Apparently at 13 weeks and 4 days, no one noticed. 14 weeks did it. Some said it was the way I had my hand near my belly that gave it away: not the look of my belly itself.

I think it really depends. I am 10wks pregnant and was plus sized. However I have no torso. My ribcage sits right on top of my hips. So my tummy really has already started to push out because there was no space internally (ob confirmed) I already look pregnant and much farther along than I am.

@AmeliaBedilia: Your measurements, height and weight are EXACTLY mine, although pre pregnancy I was actually heavier at 150 lbs I am 21 weeks and most people still can't tell I'm pregnant unless I'm wearing something to really accentuate it, granted I've only gained 5 lbs. (lost 4 initially due to morning sickness). When you're tall, you can go a bit longer without it being obvious I think, so at least 5-6 months.
