Our little guy arrived at the end of October and it's taken me 5+ weeks to get anywhere near completing his birth announcements. Originally I wanted them out during November so I could also send Christmas cards this year. Obviously that didn't happen. How long did it take you to get yours in the mail???

She was born 11/11/11 and we sent out a combo birth announcement and Christmas card so almost exactly a month

We got home from the hospital two days before Christmas and I had given birth after 3 weeks of being horribly sick on bed rest. I sent them just before Valentine's Day, right before I went back to work. DS was 6 weeks old.

He was born in sept and I did valentines cards...ha ha!!

We didn't get pictures done until 4 weeks and they were sent a week or two after that...

We sent them out in less than a month but only because we had to send out baptism invites soon after.

Well it took us nine weeks just to get our photos back (that's a whole other story), and then I got some out pretty quick... And e others are still sitting here... 6 months later...

Our son was born in late October, so we made our Christmas cards double as announcements! How convenient of him!

We just sent ours out today and baby is 22 days old.

I started sending them out when he was about 3 months old, got about halfway through, and then got tired of it and stopped trying.

Ours is a dual card---lo was born in October so we are doing an announcement and Christmas card in one.

I was actually really quick with it b/c I designed the card before she was born and then just popped in all of the info. She was born Dec 11 and we sent the cards out around Dec 21 or so.

I sent out DS's announcement out really late. I only did it because I wanted one for his baby book!

Within a month. We took his newborn pics when he was 6 days old, got the pics back 2 weeks later, made the cards a few days after that and mailed them out once I received them.

I got them out maybe week 3? She got home after a week, I took the photos, and had the template ready to go. Got them ordered and shipped quickly, then stuffed and sent! I had printed address labels up before she was even here.

DS were out before he was 3 months and in pretty sure DD were out by 1 month.

DD was about 3 weeks when we sent them.

LO was two weeks old when they went out. I had everything ready to go before she was born just waited on a pic and stats. Envelopes were addressed and stamped. Made it easy.

I think I still have some to send and our boys are 9 months old. I just keep telling myself that if etiquette requires that you send a thank you note for wedding gifts within a year of the wedding, that I'm still totally fine within a year from when the boys were born. Maybe two.
