Baby girl starts kicking almost as soon as I start eating, every time. I guess it gets down there really quick?

Not sure! I think maybe they feel the movement of our intestines first? haha.

My baby always kicks right after I eat too. (By the way, I didn't know you found out it's a girl, congrats!!). However I was reading this morning about how what we eat changes the "flavor" of the amniotic fluid but that doesn't happen until about 2 hours after we eat. So I think @chopsuey119: is right that they probably sense that something is up before the food actually gets to them.

I agree, whenever I have ice cream she starts moving/kicking immediately! She has a sweet tooth like her momma!
